Can take it as grain of salt but there is something interesting that he said on Thranduil. highlight to view below How prominent is Thranduil in the film? Very much! What happens to Tauriel? Tauriel is left with grief after the loss of Kili and asks Thranduil to take love away if this is what it feels like. He tells her it hurts because it was real. This is all we really see of her before the end.

To Thranduil: Your son is out of arrows and bleed first time in history. Yes, you should be pretty worry about that. [ giant image edited out of this post - please refer to TORn's picture posting guidelines (below and on the Welcome board in the FAQ), and re-post. Thanks!] 2.20 How do I add a picture to a post? There are several ways to add a picture to your post. You may upload a picture stored on your PC as an attachment (See 2.21 below) or you may link to an image on your own website if you have one, or to a free image hosting service such as http://photobucket.com/. To link to a picture on your own website or to a free hosting service, Insert the image URL by cutting and pasting the URL your hosting site provides for you into your post, clicking on the picture icon on the Advanced Editor toolbar and pasting the URL into the box provided, or using image tags using the Basic Editor (See [Get Markup Help]). Please do not “hot-link” directly to a picture on another internet site. See the Terms of Service rules for “netiquette” for more information on hot-linking. If you absolutely *must* direct people to a picture on another site, please do it by inserting a link that will take people to the picture on the site. That way the site owner gets ‘hits’ for their site. The specific guidelines for posting pictures within the message body of your post are as follows: the maximum size of any picture posted should be 525 wide x 400 pixels high (or a better measure is: 210,000 pixels squared - width x height), but no wider than 670 pixels. The maximum file size per picture should be 45k. The cumulative file size of all pictures in one post should not exceed 225k (5 pictures of the maximum filesize of 45k, 10 pictures of a filesize of 22.5k, etc.). These guidelnes apply to pictures hosted on other sites as well as to pictures posted as attachments to your post. For more detailed help on posting within a message body, check out Magpie's step-by-step TORn Image Posting Guide.

Oh how I do hope they'll let Thranduil smile at least once during the last movie. I mean, it's not like elves never smile. Legolas and Galadriel and Arwen smiled multiple times in the LOTR movies and Elrond and Galadriel smiled in AUJ. I want a genuine, non-snarky/sassy, Thranduil smile because LP has one of the nicest, warmes, friendliest smiles ever, IMO! I will admit, they should probably only have him smile closer to the end of the movie, because if he smiles before then, us fangirls won't be able to process any more of the story after that.
And I note, the two swords continue to look like they have different colours It's really hard to tell with the smaller pics, but the sword in his left had does look darker than the sword in his right hand. I'm thinking that they're actually the same color, but the lighting and the different angles at which LP is holding them is just making them reflect the light differently.

When the world has fallen out from under me, I'll be found in You, still standing. When the sky rolls up and mountains fall on their knees, When time and space are through. I'll be found in You." ~Shadowfeet by Brooke Fraser

I recall reading that LP based the Elvenking in part on the Fisher King, which would suggest that he feels what the forest feels, in some way. What if he's being affected by the same sickness that lies over the Greenwood? The obsession with the gems and coldness toward his son could be the effects of this, much like dragon sickness affects Thorin. It'll be interesting to see if there's a change in Thranduil after the White Council drive the Necromancer out. I keep forgetting about the Fisher King thing. Part of the Fisher King's story arc is that he gets healed eventually, so maybe this stuff we're hearing about has to do with his Fisher King-like sickness, and then he'll get healed from it before the end. I'm still hoping Bilbo will play a part in Thranduil's healing, maybe by somehow reminding him of what's really important, but if the White Council has something to do with it, I guess that would be fine too.

Does anyone know how to set the right time (underneath your avatar) for the timezone you're in? I can't seem to find the setting in my 'Edit profile' but maybe I'm overlooking something?

1.14 How do I set the board to reflect my time zone? The TORn message board’s default time is set to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). To set the boards to reflect you time zone, click on the [Edit Profile] icon at the top of the board, then click on [Display Settings]. Scroll down to the last option: “Time Offset (in hours).” If your time zone is ahead of GMT (London, depending on daylight savings time), enter the number of hours you are ahead of GMT as a positive number. If your time zone is behind GMT, enter the number of hours you are behind as a negative number. For example, if you live in New York, you would enter a -5; Auckland, a 13 and Los Angeles, a -8. Please note that these offsets will change when your time zone goes on and off daylight savings time. For help in determining your offset, go the World Clock on timeanddate.com, and or Google “Time Zones.”
