Nice! Just as expected. [In reply to] Can't Post

Though I voted Bilbo, but I supposed most folks thought we had a few of him now.

I really hope this "Final" fan poster is a lead in to a trailer and clue that it should be coming imminently. Any thoughts?

Yeah, definitely loving this one. Bard is one of those characters I doubted would work in these films, but he's become one of my favorites. This poster captures "grim faced" all the way.

I like it. I was sure we'd get Bilbo, and that would have been fine, but I'm glad we got Bard. It's a good poster.

I really like the gritty approach... [In reply to] Can't Post

To all these posters...I hope it's a reflection of how the movie will look, and honestly with past statements and the feel of the second vs the first, im fairly confident it is.

Dracula . . . I mean, Bard . . . Is one of those characters who is able to evoke hopelessness and hope, ambiguous doubt and comforting reassurance simultaneously in one expression.

It's too bad Mr. Bard A.K.A Luke Evans doesn't have a hardcore thralldom. I think he'll deserve one after the third instalment. He has some gravitas, right? Bard has a sort of #grittymajesticness. ShockedEvilSly

they could do back shots [In reply to] Can't Post

Not just of Bilbo and Thranduil and Thorin like they already have, but EVERYBODY. Then they could zoom in closer and closer to the back of their heads - all characters would look like Cousin It
by the time for the PR for film #6.

Except for Azog of course.

If only Bard had had MYTHOLOGICAL hair [In reply to] Can't Post

Quote
It's too bad Mr. Bard A.K.A Luke Evans doesn't have a hardcore thralldom.

I mean, even Dwalin had a badass mohawk and now has badass tats. So OK, there's the accent and a winning smile, so he's certainly a contender, but you have all these
epic buttercream voicesTongue crowned with spectacular manes and/or spectacular teeth and/or eyebrows and poor Bard's lowly peasant 'do and big bow just seem a tad beige....oh, alright *grins*.Wink

Actually, the more I think about Luke Evan's Bard the more I like his performance very muchSmile (not that I didn't like him in the first place). And it still strikes me in the BOFA trailer - that
look of desperation, really - I found that moving because it's a single shot and to me he's practically begging for all this to NOT happen *sob*. *Heavy sigh*.Frown

Anyway, Bard I think has more fans than you know. For me I think I still need to see things play out with him, tho in the end he may be one of my favorites? And that poster of him facing
Smaug IMO is AMAZING. PS. Not #Majesticnessnesness....I think nobility? I mean, he took in the dwarves and is sorting through medication to help Kili *sniff - dabs eyes.....*Heart

#Nobilityness! [In reply to] Can't Post

I like it!

I guess #Nobleness would be the proper term, perhaps.Tongue

Thank you, Avandel!

It didn't quite feel right using 'majesticness' for our dignified Bowman.
I knew that there had to be a better word in existence for him and
I think the locution that you've proposed describes Bard's demeanour
very well.
