hmmm... looks well enough for an Elf I guess. I think someone mentioned him as a candidate for Oropher in an earlier TA discussion. Don't see that in him, though after watching the Tudors, i'd nominate Jonathan Rhys Myers... except he's only 5'10, even shorter than OB and we know how that looks next to the LP!Thranduil

He did it multiple times too! Unfortunately, he did not nominate LP. Hmmm...Has Evangeline Lilly done the Ice Bucket Challenge yet? IMO, she'd be the most likely to nominate LP.

Which really reminds me I need to catch up to the read-along You can do it! I believe in you! P.S. I'm really enjoying doing artsy stuff for the read-along! I posted a Bingo pic and the Doriath Team Spirit challenge yesterday. I've also got another Bingo pic ready to scan onto my laptop and I'm trying to finish making a crochet flower crown before the Team Party ends (I assume it ends tonight *shrugs*). Speaking of which...*picks up crochet hook* I think I'll get back to that now.

l have wondered about this for a while, as to why Oropher made the decision to charge into battle before the signal was given by Gil-Galad. Surely he must have had good reasons to do so. Oropher was a highly respected King amongst his people and I believe he must have had enough tactical insights to not rashly rush into a battle, knowing he would seal the faith of a large part of his army if he did. Plus not to mention he had his only son with him as well. I think he would never knowingly do something foolish to jeopardize Thranduil's life. So what did drive him to make the decision that caused him, and a large part of his army, to tragically die before Mordor? Was it a lack of communication, or did something occur right before the charge? And how did Thranduil manage to pick up his father's reign under te most dire circumstances indeed? I'm not sure, but I have read an amazing gap filler on the net about this specific moment. One that I could truly believe to explain said questions (allthough it still remains speculation in the end). If you're interested I could look up the story for you, it sure makes a good reading

No Legolas, you're too young to drink
Thranduiil does not like sharing his Elk! Nah, Bubba is his own, his precious. No one rides Thranduil's war-elf but Thranduil!
It seems the Elk reappears on BoFA, it's very interesting to see how that turns out. Though it sure looks impressive, I just can't see it running into battle. Does an Elk even gallop? Love to see more of Bubba with Thranduil Though yeah, could get a bit inconvenient in the Wood.
Maybe that's why he takes Bubba for walks outside Mirkwood once in a millennium. He'd like to do it more often. But troublesome welath-flaunting neighbours (such bad form) who always expect favours and all

LoL He is a good sport. But i guess he had it coming being late and multi-nommed? Though RA could take a page out of his challenge execution. So many iterations, even a suit and nekkid. Especially when he did the classic THIN WHITE TEE. Now THAT should be a requisite. Now to wait for LP's challenge acceptance tho more noms can't hurt *snigger* Thanks for sharing Eruvandi ETA to add: What a bonus! This viddie auto-played right after. Meltz.

So cool that you're having fun Wow crochet huh? Except for the simple craft stuff in school (once upon a time) I can't crochet for my life. Maybe cos I'm a leftie, it just takes a bit too much focus for me to inverse the directions, and my right hand's totally useless - though I am quite proud that I don't need concessions to be made for me (I use right-hand mouse and don't need left-hand scissors). But crochet? I'll just buy the darned thing Re my reading... now that I'm ready, my book is misplaced... I'm feeling like Boromir turning stuff over looking for Frodo at the Rauros now

Yup, all these intriguing questions to answer! I have my own theories, especially on Oropher's fatal charge, and feel the ficcie musies restlessly stomping around in the head but I don't want to start fleshing out a storyline until I've done my revision of the Silm, the UT and LotR cos I am just anal that way a stiff-necked canon-conscious ficcer when it comes to gap-fillers. Plus I need to keep my wits about me for the Thrall Wars because Avandel is just so dangerous! So it will have to wait.
I'm not sure, but I have read an amazing gap filler on the net about this specific moment. One that I could truly believe to explain said questions (allthough it still remains speculation in the end). If you're interested I could look up the story for you, it sure makes a good reading I'm intrigued. If you happen to come across it again just as by-the-way, I'd like to keep the link and read it after I finish my fic, you know, just so I don't get influenced re my own GREAT LITERARY EFFORT

It's not Thorin's fault he too is affected... ... by Elven magic (even though he is not keen on admitting it). Haha! This is truth purer than mithril!
And you know what, you just posted one of my fav moments of Thranduil, that epic grin *OMG* Cannot function properly when you keep posting those pics. But you must keep them coming! LOL, I must be suffering some sort of pathological illness where one cannot function with or without a glimpse of the most beautiful and sexy Elf alive. I believe the full scientific name for the condition is acute chronic metastatic thudderisis-noNeedRhymeOrReasonSqueeliphrenia-pervyCompulsivePRETTY!hoardingOogling-drooliciousism-uttermalfunctionFromElfHotness Thranduilitis syndrome, or more commonly, Thranduilitis. Just as the curse of Thorinitis is defined as "Just that smokey barbecue sizzle on a bed of hot embers on a chill autumn night voice making you do things", the blessing of Thranduilitis can only be described as "Just that silky smooth gleam of feline grace in the snow making you want to book a one-way ticket to the Himalayas for snow leopard cuddles (never mind the more likely Yeti encounters)"
Happily there is absolutely no cure for this terminal condition. It is, however, strongly recommended to ensure continued dysfunction of the sufferer with incessant ooling and trawling of Thranduil!Pretty, ideally supplemented with appropriate doses of LP!Pretty So as a caring fellow TORner, I will do my best for you, VValar.
