for me the lag was too bad.. couldn't see or hear anything. That's ok though, saw enough pictures and stuff.. Plus all these will probably be on Youtube and everywhere else...

to the 3 LotR films, I just pray that:
a) they film that stuff in Super35, not digital, so that the footage will look right next to the original footage
b) continue to release the original theatrical and extended versions on future home video formats - Don't turn into George Lucas!

I can't believe people are actually excited about the prospect of turning the last third of so of Tolkien's small little book into 2 films. That would be overkill. I don't believe for a second that this is what's planned. My money's on new scenes to be put on future LotR releases as vignettes or as part of a longer extended edition.

So you can wait for another site's interview but if you want to know what he said to Quickbeam (there were actually a couple of reporters in that cluster) then you'll go to what Quickbeam says. :-)
I don't know how much more 'official' it gets than from PJs own mouth. (and it was said during the live video which was hard to hear in real time but may get easier to hear if it's offered up as an archived video)
Of course, PJ's not suggesting it's a go. Only that they're discussing it.

But the thought of additional footage itself. I suspect it will either be scenes for the EE, and/or something detailing the gap between TH and LOTR. Perhaps we can hope for the unused scenes from LOTR as well.
