Hugo weaving is confirmed as Red Skull in Captain America, to be released July 2011. Although he is not confirmed for a role as Elrond in The Hobbit, I wonder if there will be any scheduling issues IF he also is Elrond. http://www.comingsoon.net/news/movienews.php?id=65732

i was known as hary786118 All that is gold does not glitter, Not all those who wander are lost; The old that is strong does not wither, Deep roots are not reached by the frost. From the ashes a fire shal be woken, A light from the shadows shall spring; Renewed shall be blade that was broken, The crownless again shall be king.

I hope to see "The wolfman" SOON finally... Im waiting for the DVD.. Hugo looks great there, besides the fact I love Benicio del Toro and werewolves LOL. Not familiar with Cap America or the Red Skull character but ah sounds cool. For sure it will be great to see Hugo there too. He´s a great actor

has to be Elrond. He's only in a small section of The Hobbit...they'll make it work.

I'm excited for this. He's such a great actor. I wish I knew more about the Captain America comics, but I'm mostly just an X-Men comics dabbler. I'm sure he'll do the part justice, though. I also don't think this should interfere with him being Elrond at all- they can work around filming schedules.

Like before, I'm sure they'll work around any scheduling problems. Elrond is a part of the film, but not a big part. I'll bet his work could be done for both films in a month or so. I think everyone involved with the process will do their best to make sure Elrond/Hugo/Mr. Smith still lives in Rivendell ;)

Hugo, guy >:) (Why isn't that a saying, like Hugo girl is? Hugo isn't a girl anyway . . .)

I was going to say "aaauugghh" again like how my brother and I respond to each other's pun scores (he's a master punster), but I figured that would start getting old. I, too, think they'll be able to squeeze him in between his other gigs. I almost have to think so, as I'm getting so worried about other actors "aging out."
