True confessions: I forgot the Leader's Choice Discussions

I can't keep up in real life or virtual, it seems. I forgot all about the Leader's Choice Discussion schedule. Although I'm sure the RR as a whole continued on its way without me--grin--I do feel bad for letting NEB down.
What should happen here? Did everyone else forget, too? (**shamelessly hopes so; doesn't want to be only one sent to the board to write 100 times "I will not forget RR discussion schedules"**) Or were you all just REALLY happy that I forgot and hesitated to mention it to me in case I actually posted something? (**opens new tab to Google the term "paranoia"...be right back...**) Back. Anyway, FWIW, I apologize for not leading (in the most general sense of the word) discussions over the two weeks recently passed, which was my assignment. Mea culpa. a.s.

I almost began another six part post on a Tolkien poem last Saturday, but things are a bit hectic. I'm sure we all undertand that real life takes precedence.
****************************************** The audacious proposal stirred his heart. And the stirring became a song, and it mingled with the songs of Gil-galad and Celebrian, and with those of Feanor and Fingon. The song-weaving created a larger song, and then another, until suddenly it was as if a long forgotten memory woke and for one breathtaking moment the Music of the Ainur revealed itself in all glory. He opened his lips to sing and share this song. Then he realized that the others would not understand. Not even Mithrandir given his current state of mind. So he smiled and simply said "A diversion.”

Because I had two trips out of town (to prepare for and attend) I haven't been able to keep up with the Reading Room myself, apart from just enough monitoring to make sure the Hobbit discussion leaders are on track (I even skipped my usual reminder notes for a few people, like Dreamdeer, who were plainly posting regularly). So I certainly won't criticize you for missing the leader's choice weeks! FYI, weaver did let me know that she'd have to reschedule her selections as well. Just let me know if / when / what you'll be presenting.

All right, now that I know I won't interfere with weaver's week, I might be able to come up with something. I was going to wing it anyway, if you remember my vague plans...(**hopes someone remembers her plans, as she doesn't quite...**) Just let me know if / when / what you'll be presenting.
I will remember to let you know. Unless I forget. How many free passes based on "I forgot, mea culpa" does one get in the RR?

I thought it was simply due to your organising the Founders' Day discussions!

I mean, both you and weaver - I kind of assumed it was pre-arranged. And as (unlike weaver) you did not commit yourself to a topic - I can easily think of these five posts as your contribution. How's that? By the way - the way RL looks like, I am very happy I didn't commit myself to anything! It looks like if I find a few free hours anytime now, I should start looking at 'Not at Home' - there is no knowing what might come up next month.
