One Man Lord of the Rings Free Tickets

TORn friend Charles Ross absolutely slayed audiences at our own OneRingConvention (ORC) a few years ago with his outstanding and hilarious "One Man Lord of the Rings." We loved the show before and after ORC and he wrote us to say that he is performing it again for two nights and would love to offer, while supplies last, FREE tickets to TORnados who can make it to the Zeum Theatre in Berkley this Friday (April 10) and Saturday (April 11) at 8 p.m.. This is the show that Ian McKellen famously praised by saying, "If you liked the Lord of the Rings trilogy, you'll love Charlie Ross's version - and if u didn't, well at least his is shorter." His one hour version of the LOTR trilogy gets my highest personal recommendation and getting the tickets is easy and painless but only while supplies last. Simply write OMLOTR@gmail.com and request up to six tickets if you know you can attend the show. Your e-mail response will confirm that you have tickets or tell you if they have all been spoken for. If you go . . . WHAT: One Man Lord of the Rings WHERE: Zeum Theatre, Berkly California See Zeum Theater for location details. WHEN: April 10-11, 8 p.m. HOW: E-mail OMLOTR@gmail for up to 6 free tickets while supplies last

But for him to offer this gift is a mark of the quality of this man. What a prince! Seriously, when I saw him at ORC, I was flabbergasted. He is phenomenal! I couldn't rate his show high enough! I was TORn between jaw-dropped amazement and belly-laughs. What would you call it... deconstructed Middle-earth with whipped cream and a cherry on top? Thanks MrCere. What generosity. I'm so glad he hasn't forgotten us :D

I vaguely recall that there was an NYC performance scheduled some years ago, and I bought a ticket, but the event got canceled for some reason and they issued refunds. For those of you going, have fun!

when he did a performance here (this is his home town), and loved it. It was hilarious, and his characterizations are spot-on. Anyone who can make it, should!

I wish I could go, but it's a wee bit too late to head up North for this. Thankfully, I saw it when he performed at ORC, and it was worth every moment of time spent. I've also seen his Star Wars Trilogy in an hour, very cool too. He's just a super cool guy and it's so nice that he's offering this to everyone here.

But not LOTR: he's performing his One-Man Star Wars Trilogy at my theater here in Cleveland next month. I had heard that OMLOTR was getting back on track, after some licensing issues worked out; glad to see it's bearing fruit.

Yes, after Ian McKellan famously praised his One Man LotR, New Line came down on him and made him stop. I'm really delighted to hear he apparently has that sorted out, because it really is brilliant.

A LORT category D stage, as it happens. ACT's mainstage is the Geary -- a category A stage. There's also an ACT Theatre in Seattle, whose stages are the Allen Arena (category B) and the Falls Thrust (category C).

I'm going to be in San Francisco this weekend! Right across the bay! A measly 20 minute drive! But I'm there to visit my friends, who are not at all Tolkien fans. How do I convince them that this is the Best Thing Ever?

The show's in San Francisco, not Berkeley. Have they at least seen the movies, even if they aren't fans? If so, they'll love it (even if they hated the movies, they can enjoy Ross making fun of them). Otherwise, just tell them "something came up that I have to attend to" and go!

She is an awesome best friend, though; she doesn't really like the films, but saw them, and she lets me indulge in my obsession. She didn't even complain xD Oh, gotta love friends like that. Just reserved two places for her and myself and got the confirmation. I'm pumped :D
