As we here know, it was the Elves who did it first.
Even they, however, seem never to have solved the problem of what to do after you've exhausted the number of arrows in your quiver. You'd think they'd have magicked up an endless supply eventually, but there doesn't appear to be any evidence of this.
For riders, not even any extra quivers in saddlebags!? This always frustrates me that bing bing bing! and they're out! I guess that's where a sword comes in handy.
I guess it'd be ok while defending a castle, where an important job might be "quiver re-fillerer", eh?
This sounds all very silly, I know, but I've been watching the LOTR trilogy today before they go off Netflix here next week. Arrows play a big part there. Didn't see any quiver refillerer extras on the Helm's Deep battlements. So frustrating.
So, Meneldor, how's you're triple shot, buddy?

I found myself cheering for him as he began mastering the technique. I love his enthusiasm for each of his projects / tutorials. This one he was clearly intimidated... which I am, too... by getting down the fluid movement. It's a fine, elegant instrument and technique that feels almost poetic when you get it right... and I'm not saying this right ;) And the young man he's brought as teacher and professional is really awesome. Patient, encouraging, instructive, and talented.
I wish we had this back when my g'son would spend several weeks with me each summer. I got him a bow and some arrows when we were at one of the sprawling flea markets, and he spent hours in the back yard practicing faithfully. I'm out where there's no threat to anyone; but now he lives in Baltimore where they frown upon such hobbies ;) He would have eaten this up!!
We have been there and back again.
