I cannot WAIT for this one to come out. John Hurt has been one of my favourites for years! His voice as Aragorn in Bakshi's LotR is great... so the thought of the two of them working together is DELICIOUS!
I just read an article where the director is talking about working with both of them. He said (paraphrasing) that Elijah's like a Jaguar (car)... all you have to do is turn the key and GO! Working with Hurt is like a juggernaut. You have to tease and prod to get him going, but once he's off... he goes full throttle right through the walls! I'll bet they're having a ball... and having Elijah play this part is just what I've been waiting for! I freakin can't wait!! What a great cast, a great story, and all sorts of possibilities for adventure and watching the two of them work things out to solve a mystery! Opposites in league, and all that :D *twitch*
I'm also hoping Elijah's had a chance to hook up with Sean Bean, Ian McKellen, Orlando and maybe Billy whilst he's over the big water. The thought of that warms my heart!
uh yeah... I've kinda thought about it a bit ;)

Uh, me too, but  not for the same reasons as you. (At least I think.) I've been reading the commentaries too, one by a delightfully descriptive (yet with discretion) hand on the set. Wow. I can pm you a link if you'd like. The comments are just beautiful. The ones on the sex scene are (thankfully) very limited. Good thing. I'd combust.
