For those of you who have been missing Bilbo's weekly quiz.. *crickets* ...his chief scribe and bottle washer has been a bit busy with a few other things of late. We plan to return next week with a brand new quiz for our brand new digs!
Koru: Maori symbol representing a fern frond as it opens. The koru reaches towards the light, striving for perfection, encouraging new, positive beginnings.

Well, what on earth could you have been doing? I miss the quiz, but I'm extraordinarily grateful for everything you've done here on these boards. Plus, if you were just taking a holiday and dancing and singing songs about trees and drinking Old Winyards and maybe going rambling in the woods to find some mushrooms, I don't think anyone would feel that it was at all undeserved. OK, so much for the nice stuff. Now, please imagine me throwing a massive, toddler-style tantrum with stamping feet, turning red then blue, screaming, throwing self on floor and hammering at bystanders with ineffectual fists. 'Where's my quizzy!!!! Penthe wants her quizzy!!!!!"

I've been wondering what happened to Bilbo! I'm glad to know you'll both be back next week. I love quizzes! Looking forward to it.
And suddenly the Ainur saw afar off a light, as it were a cloud with a living heart of flame.

(Formerly Lossefalme3, just in case you're wondering)*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* Aragorn threw back his cloak. The elven-sheath glittered as he grasped it, and the bright blade of Andúril shone like a sudden flame as he swept it out. 'Elendil!' he cried. 'I am Aragorn son of Arathorn, and am called Elessar, the Elfstone, Dúnadan, the heir of Isildur Elendil's son of Gondor. Here is the Sword that was Broken and is forged again! Will you aid me or thwart me? Choose swiftly!' Okay, here's questions to keep you busy until next week: 1. Which member of the Fellowship kept the key to the Doors of Durin, and what did he securely attach it to? 2. What was Faramir's reason for selecting the yellow Dol Amroth vintage over the red Dorwinion when dining with Frodo and Sam? 3. Unless Fredegar was planning to hold some strange parties, he did not need all three tubs in the Crickhollow bathroom. What did he do with the extra ones? 4. Who was secretly mining gemstones in the Glittering Caves, and what was that person intending to do with them? 5. Along with string for their bows and gifts for Dwarves, what else did the Elves of Lórien make with their hair? Why?

1. Which member of the Fellowship kept the key to the Doors of Durin, and what did he securely attach it to? Gimli kept the keys to the Doors of Durin. He attached it to his pocket Anne Geddes calendar 2. What was Faramir's reason for selecting the yellow Dol Amroth vintage over the red Dorwinion when dining with Frodo and Sam? For the 5 Florin return on each bottle of the yellow Dol Amroth. Daddy was unhappy with him and he needed pocket money 3. Unless Fredegar was planning to hold some strange parties, he did not need all three tubs in the Crickhollow bathroom. What did he do with the extra ones? Melt them down and try to cash in on the high price of copper on the stock market. 4. Who was secretly mining gemstones in the Glittering Caves, and what was that person intending to do with them? Legolas was secretly mining quartz crystals frm the glittering caves. Looking to secretly preserve an illicit copy of the Arwen, Rosie and Eowyn shower scene. 5. Along with string for their bows and gifts for Dwarves, what else did the Elves of Lórien make with their hair? Why? Murkins. For Fredegars strange bathtup parties.
