Love this! Evil

Sauron: "Mine's better."

Oh, yes. [In reply to] Can't Post

I've been in mourning for many trees over the years. Glad many people are finally getting a change of heart.

We visited that fine tree last year! [In reply to] Can't Post

While staying in Karamea. It's quite close to what passes for the centre of that very small town, and is just as striking in real life.

A worthy winner of the award!

"It came last."

It's just an overgrown stick that can't find its way out of a puddle.

I didn't like to ask. [In reply to] Can't Post

It seemed a bit too dignified - not to mention giving the impression of striding about on important business.

It's a nice area to visit - there's even a Moria Arch. And a moa cave.

That's remarkable! [In reply to] Can't Post

Our tree of the year last year was far more conventional! https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-67145345 Trees, particularly very old trees, shoudl be treasured and protected far more than they are. It grieves me that so often they are viewed as obstacles in the path of development rather than beings to be prized.

What a wonderful tree! [In reply to] Can't Post

Those lower branches, especially the one on the right, look very arm-like, as if the tree is reaching out. Or trying a slow and venerable sort of dance.Smile

And, yes, I agree. (I'm very much a tree-hugger!)
