How exciting to see the youngsters we love grow up and become parents themselves... even if you're not blood-related, you're still family! It's surreal, but so magical.
How wonderful that your new home is wrapping itself around you and giving you a safe nest :D And that your check-up and doc are also doing so well. Yeah, we really do cherish the healthy days we're blessed with as we check off the winters ;) Kudos on the great news of your health and knee! Especially after the huge work-out with the move.

Anytime you have to go through the stress of forms and waiting with no idea how long the process will take is so stressful. Is there any way you can ask some of these places you like if they can put you on a waiting list? I mean, they've got all the info about you right there... and it can be updated when something opens up. As an apt dweller for way longer than I like to think about, you never know when a simple inquiry can make a difference... and saying nothing already gives you a "no" answer ;) GOOD LUCK on the hunt... and I hope your week at work is going according to plan.
Munchies and a date in a box... sounds PERFECT! :D

No tool-bearing critters allowed? That refuge sounds wonderful! If I ever make it back to NZ, I'll put it on my list of "gotta go there" dreams :)

How wonderful that you all can get together and keep in touch. Isn't it strange how even if you don't get to keep in close contact, when you do get together it's like no time has passed at all? That cottage sounds like the perfect place to completely escape and just enjoy being together :D *sigh*
The cold weather is landing neatly here, too... although the temps are supposed to jump about 30 degrees warmer for the weekend, then sliding back down again. But I'll Take It!!! :D
