I like that he and Emma have this lifelong friendship as a basis for their romance (I know he's so much older but that was normal for the time.) His dry humor puts me in mind of Aragorn.

Probably because he's rich & good-looking, but I suppose Mr. Nightly would be okay. My LEAST favorite would be Edward Ferras, Mr. No Personality. Honestly, couldn't figure out what Elinor saw in the man.
