It's not healthy to keep such a traumatic experience as witnessing PJ's Hobbit bottled up inside. It is truly one of the great tragedies of our lifetimes. And of course I don't mean that in the Shakespearean sense...but rather the existence of the movies themselves are the tragedy.

The love triangle (Tauriel herself or at least the idea of her was okay)
Potty humour
The Master of Lake-town (even though he was Stephen Fry)
Wereworms
Exclusion of the Talking Purse (this traumatised me for life)
Galadriel going nuclear (AGAIN)
The design for the Ringwraiths
Elf clones at the battle
Azog and Bolg being totally CGI
Azog being present at all (and the fact that I keep typing Azong by mistake)
All the CGI locations which you can subconsciously if not consciously tell the difference from LOTR being very real and non-CGI
Legolas being a brat
Thranduil (everything pertaining to him)
Many other things
Now if this is going to be a therapy thread, I suggest we say what we did like. Might help.
Things I did like (and sorry if this ruins the point of the thread  )
Bilbo and Thorin (spot-on casting)
Having a female character (just not what they did with her)
Bard's family
Elrond (even better than in LOTR!)
Elrond fighting at Dol Guldur
Misty Mountains song
Whole film till they left the Shire (purist alert!)
Ori
Other things

Hate is not a healthy feeling. Therefore you should not create a thread encouraging hate.
But then I deeply hate all the Hobbit trilogy haters, so I guess I cannot criticize you without being a sort of hypocrite.
By the way, ironic username you got there, huh? Or perhaps you mean that you are just a fan of a hobbit character (as in, Bilbo or Frodo)?

Then again, re Hollywood, apparently the WORST thing is to be completely IGNORED. I was going to list some examples of perfectly nice films that arrived and left, but can't remember any .
So, in a way, with that thin light between love and hate and such, the haters are actually putting as much energy into the Hobbit films as Hobbit-lovers, except that Hobbit lovers have less money, because they blew it all on cosplay and at WETA online and re-watching the theater versions. I personally am proud of single-handedly supporting my local IMAX on off nights like Mondays and Tuesdays when the Hobbit films were in theaters.
If only...

You just have to have had realistic expectations of the movies and a willingness to embrace change. The ability to separate book and movies in your mind works too.
But I have no place in a haters thread and so will depart and henceforth ignore it.

...and it isn't the exclusive possession of those who love the films, like them, like some things about them, aren't impressed or couldn't stand them. The book is anyone's who cares to read it, and loving it doesn't imply any particular attitude to the films.
I love the book (there are a LOT of us left), love the films - and having said that, I'm out of here.....
For still there are so many things
that I have never seen:
in every wood and every spring
there is a different green. . .

Keep it going, though. Don't get complacent and let the "lovers" and "mixers" be the tortoise to our hare!
I hate the way Peter Jackson bit on that carrot. When Tolkien bit on a carrot he did it with an understanding and subtlety of expression that I marveled at. And he didn't just chomp down in some crass way. No it was more like a careful, disciplined nibble.. Not what you were expecting and yet all the better for it. To Tolkien it wasn't just a carrot. He had a deep artistic connection to not only that carrot but the soil it grew in, the water that fed it, the nurturing hands that cared for it. The whole of life was in that carrot. And as such it wasn't some perfect Hollywood ideal of a carrot.. some trite "badass." Pfft! NO, it was a modest carrot with imperfections that gave it charm and character. Tolkien just knew his root vegetables.
Jackson.. I don't even think Jackson cared about carrots. To him it was just something to violently sever with his clumsy vulgar jaws in an empty display to pander to the masses. The carrot was way too big, for one. Plus, where was its beard? Why wasn't it wearing armor like, as everyone knows, all carrots do? And it didn't even look real. That was a CGI carrot if I ever saw one. I know the fanboys will say, "just watch the extended carrot" to which I say "Weren't you listening? THAT CARROT IS ALREADY TOO BIG!!" And please stop with the whole argument that I must hate carrots. NO I love carrots. In fact I just planted a bed so I can do my own fan-bite that greatly improves upon Jackson's moronic munch. And now folks are saying they want to see Jackson get the rights to Tolkien's Parsnip? Are you crazy?!

I was really looking forward to these movies and so I did my best to ignore all the news and speculation. What I did encounter I just shrugged off, "I'm sure they know what they're doing. Just wait and see." The more I saw of the actual movie first with the full trailer (the teaser was actually promising) and then the promotional clips the more I had to actively suppress a strong sense of "Oh crud. This does not look the least bit appealing." And then actually watching the films I found myself pretty incredulous throughout. I don't know if "hate" is so much accurate as simply "bewildered." And that in itself isn't always a bad thing.. It can be rewarding when creators upset your expectations and throw you off kilter.. I just am hard pressed to feel rewarded in this case.

What would it be?
Personally I would change about 85% of everything in this trilogy, however, my one choice would be to remove the horrible horrible love story and everything associated with it. No "trousers" line, and no Kili dying to defend his girlfriend either. Really, without the love story, Tauriel served no purpose, so she should really just go.
