They captured the opening so perfectly. I also loved the sparks going up the chimney and becoming stars in the opening scene.

..but I think I'd go Feast of Starlight, the acorn, Smaug face-to-face with the golden statue, the Old Took's party and the sparks flying up from Bilbo's chimney. Oh, and Gandalf climbing the High Fells.

The conversation between Thorin and Balin in Bag End has been one of my favorite scenes since the first movie came out and still is. Beautifully done.

I did like seeing Elrond, Gandalf, Saruman, & Galadriel have a meet. I loved the set as well. I criticize PJ a lot but he did get the places right! (Well, Lothlorien is too dark - in my mind there are wide grassy spaces between the trees - but all the other places are spot-on. Maybe New Zealand doesn't have that kind of forest?)

Sure, it's far from what I imagined and not "perfect" in my eyes, but I have been desperate to see the Dol Guldur subplot on screen for years! Had it been fleshed out more in the books, then it would have undoubtedly been my favourite part of them.

The acorn scene was really good, so was the "I belong with my brother" line. But there were others as well. I like the "Trollshaws" fight scene, pretty sure there wasn't a fight scene in the book. I also liked Legolas & Tauriel's fight scene in Bard's house, which was definitely not in the book! But Thorin charging down the tree towards Azog in the first movie is probably the best original scene in AUJ. Likewise, the Thorin v. Azog on ice fight is probably the best original scene in BOT5A, followed closely by the Ice Chariot scene. Probably going to go with Leggy & Tauriel's fight scene for DOS (gee, do you think I like fight scenes? ). I don't think too many people will vote for that healing scene, though.

Maybe you're not counting it as original...but Bilbo's speech when he finds the Dwarves after being separated from them in Goblintown is original, and is my favorite deviation from the book.

It was brilliantly written, as it contrasts Bilbo's simplicity with the greed of dragon-sickness and even helps to pull Thorin out of his madness for a few moments. It was very Tolkienesque.
The healing scene was the most ridiculous in both trilogies, IMO, and the feast of starlight started the romance which I also didn't care for. The line "it is memory" (in reference to starlight) isn't bad as it is actually pretty canon (recalls the awakening at Cuivienen), but then they had to ruin it with the cheesy "precious and pure" and then the ultra-sappy "like your promise." Memories precious and pure, like your promise? What is this, a Hallmark commercial?
I actually didn't like the "I belong with my brother" scene because it made Thorin look like a jerk for doing what was really the only reasonable thing he could've done in that situation. Yeah, it's unfortunate Kili had to get injured right before Durin's Day, but the thing only happens once a year and only lasts as long as the moon is shining on the door and requires extreme precision in timing ("exactly the right spot at exactly the right time"), and if you're under a time crunch you really cannot afford to be slowed down at all. It's unfortunate, but it's the harsh reality. It was the right decision and any responsible leader would've made were they in his position. And if Thorin HAD taken Kili along he would've died, as we all know from the later scene at Bard's house.
