Ogres in the EE

Did anyone else think these guys really came into their own in the EE? I was pretty lukewarm on them after seeing the theatrical cut, the design and appearance of the one who gets the arrow in particular. But the scene where they disrupt and destroy the Dwarven chariots is one of my favourite additions. They look fantastic (especially the second one we see), and their CGI is superb, with their movements very convincing. I even liked the noises they make when smashing up the Dwarves. Of course, they also appear much more effective. Anyone else find they looked more favourably on the Ogres after watching the EE?

The ones we see in Dale and the ones who are charged with destroying chariots on both occasions.

The ogres fight in Dale, Bard kills one and Gandalf fights the other. The ogres look much more cartoony, like a Harry Potter creature, i don't like them at all. The trolls are fighting to get to Erebor. They got armor and strange deadly "glows", or mutilated for riding. These are the ones you are talking about. They look much more fierce. Like the ones on LOTR. These are great!

I was really surprised when I watch the Ogres destroy the chariots in the EE. It was a gorgeous scene, very well done both in terms of story and CGI-wise. And I also liked their designs much better than those of the TE.
"Is it not a strange fate that we should suffer so much fear and doubt for so small a thing? So small a thing! And I have seen it only for an instant in the house of Elrond! Could I not have a sight of it again?"
