Nice about the 77 dilemma. I wonder if the numbers people will find any significance in the numerical commands?
I was shocked when the Russian shot the kidnapper woman. Too bad, in a way, she was a good baddie.
So, do we think all the Dharma people are dead?

Bye, bye Miss Klugh! Darn, I was looking forward to her being back in this episode and leaning more about her. I guess it wasn't mean't to be. Anyone speak russian? I only assume that was russian because Mikael was a soviet. I was thrilled when Kate punched her lights out though! Tough girl Kate is back.

I've hated the whole Others torture stuff since the beginning of this season. Jack, Kate and Sawyer are not my favorite characters. I really didn't care about the backstory about Jack's tattoos. A friend and I were talking at work about that episode and decided we didn't really like it, but since we have no life we would probably keep watching. Well, last night brought me back. I really liked last night's show and Sayeed's flashbacks. Then again, Sayeed and Locke are my favorite characters. Though I don't understand why John didn't hear my yelling at the TV to not press 77.

that Locke didn't figure out what would happen if he followed those instructions. But it was certainly in Locke's character to do so — after all, he was the one who was so insistent that they keep pressing the button in the hatch. And, IIRC, I don't think Sayid and Kate ever had a chance to tell him that the house was wired with explosives. I wonder what Locke thought would happen.
I'm sure the cat's real, but I doubt if we'll see it again; it was just there to trigger Sayid's flashbacks.

Yes, I don't think Sayiid mentioned the explosives (and my husband was annoyed he didn't cut the wires to it!), but I agree with you that Locke anticipated the consequences of 77 anyway. I just think he was putting his faith the the Dharma people. He knows the Others are bad and the Dharma people didn't lead him astray about the "old" computer so he was going to trust and obey on this one.
So, if The Others were here before Dharma, were they responsible for the supernatural nature of things or was that a Dharam experiment gone wrong? I wonder who/what brings just the right props for all of these passengers here? They seem to be working for the good of the castaways, and I think we can rule that out as being something in character for the Others.

Was Mikhail telling the truth when he said that? If he lied about being one of the others, he could have lied about that too.
I'm glad to see Danielle back, and I enjoyed the Sawyer/Hurley interaction. It's interesting that Hurley always seems to get the best of Sawyer.

Why was it so important for them to kill themselves? For a second i thought that it was a trick and she didn't really die. I'm disapointed too. She was a very interesting character, and that's from watching only a few of with her.

There were Dharma logos all over the place, and the guy on the computer was the same one he saw in the training film in the hatch. That's why he obeyed the instruction — it was the same guy who told him how important it was to push the button.

Locke didn't seem to know that the Russian was "a hostile." Why would he type in 77? Was he thinking of himself as a hostile? Or did he consider the Others as the hostiles? Did he suspect the Russian? Just curious?

The Russian told him that there had been a war between the Dharma people and the Others (which he called "hostiles"), and that the hostiles had killed everyone but him. I think that would constitute being attacked by "hostiles," as far as Locke was concerned.
