You snooze, you lose!!!

Out of the darkness of my life, so much frustrated, I put before you the one great thing to love on earth: the Blessed Sacrament... There you will find romance, glory, honour, fidelity, and the true way of all your loves on earth, and more than that: Death: by the divine paradox, that which ends life, and demands the surrender of all, and yet by the taste (or foretaste) of which alone can what you seek in your earthly relationships (love, faithfulness, joy) be maintained, or take on that complexion of reality, of eternal endurance, which every man's heart desires. --J.R.R. Sabrina, good voice, not Chaka. 3 and 4, see above. The rest were amazing, esp. Melinda. W O M A N !!! Wow.

was cool in what he said to her, about all the media flak, but she still does not deserve to be there.

IMHO, based on all performances so far, she is easily the best. I like LaKIsha and Chris Sligh, but Melinda still blows everyone else out of the water. Antonella is just a joke at this point; if she stays another week, it's a travesty. I think she handled herself OK responding to the judges' comments; she couldn't very well just agree that she should be gone! But she is so far out of her league that I'd take any of the remaining guys over her. (Well, except maybe Sanjaya.) I got a kick out of Simon's comment to Sabrina that she needed to show more personality; that's exactly what I said about her last week. GMTA. I was ready for Gina to go last week, but now I think Haley needs to leave first. I still don't like Gina much, but at least she was true to herself and gave it all she had. Altogether, I didn't care much for ANY of the song choices tonight. I'm looking forward to the finals, when they are given themes, and I'll get to hear some songs I actually like.

when I was still going by my 14-year-old niece's version of things, which was that someone had snapped pictures of Antonbarbarella in the bathroom without her knowledge. I don't know *where* she got that - now I've seen the pictures, I think she should have been booted off as fast as Frenchie. The fact that she can't sing and Frenchie definitively could may have something to do with my feelings. What is with the mouth popping open again after every line? There's a local newsanchor who does that, and it makes me want to tape her mouth shut. Though it's not the only reason I want to tape Antonella's mouth shut. "I don't try to be like the others, and they don't try to be like me." Simon makes off-mike retort which I would love to have heard... Bye, BFF. Bye, what's your name... I hope.

America must have had the volume turned off. For crying out loud, what a mess. Sanjaya? Haley? Are you kidding me?

Sorry, I just had to do that. Convenient that the Vote for the Worst king and queen were dethroned tonight. Executive decision to throw out suspicious voting patterns, perhaps? We may never know, but I don't really care. SHE'S GONE!!! Sabrina was robbed, and frankly, Sundance deserved a spot more than Sanjaya, but I'm okay with that. Haley and Sanjaya can just go next week.*crosses fingers*

Sabrina????? America - what were you thinking??? At least BFF got the axe, finally. No idea how Haley is still there. She was awful. I was sad to see Jared go, but not terribly surprised.

and 2 wrong -- IMHO, horribly wrong. I know some folks here don't like Sundance, but IMHO, he was one of the best 6 singers this season (male or female), along with Sabrina. (The others being Melinda, LaKisha, Jordin, and Chris Sligh). At least the judges were suitably stunned. They keep trying to remind us that it's a singing contest, but whoever voted for Sanjaya and Haley didn't get the message. (Along with whoever voted for Chris Richardson, for that matter. Or even Gina or Phil.) At least Sanjaya had the good grace, once again, to look utterly amazed that he had made it. In future shows, whatever fine singer finds himself or herself standing there with Sanjaya waiting to find out who goes and who stays had better be afraid — very afraid.

Sundance has grown more and more comfortable performing on stage while Sanjaya just froze up and hasn't thawed yet. He's young and shy, so he's not really ready for this competition, though I liked him at first.

As it is likely to be, since *America voting* will not necessarily be looking at musical talent, but most likely at sex appeal, charisma, etc...My question is: What about the guys is going to get any of them through to the finals? (Since their musical abilities have not been proven to me yet.) Good looks? Smooth moves? Fashion sense? Is it purely Melinda or Lakisha's to lose? Just because the men really *don't have it*? Vocally, from what I've heard there is no question. It's Melinda or Lakisha all the way, as far as I am concerned (Mel Mel Mel). Oh, sorry, subliminal message coming though. Is there a guy that can even compete? Apart from the weird voting patterns . I like Blake, if nothing more than for his song choices, but that is hardly a blessing from me. Chris looks way too much like a good friend who has a much better voice and more personality. Sanjaya? What the bloody blazes are you still doing here? I dunno. Please don't let it be Melinda against Sanjaya, since that will just bury A I to a depth they won't want to dig out of.
