I'm happy to see that Bilbo will be getting dirty...but really the point of these posters seems to be that all other Middle-earth beings have large facial pores, but Elves do not.

I thought the previous posters featuring Bilbo and Sting were enough of an indicator.
Heck, I thought all of the swordplay and Orc/goblin/spider slaying Mr. Baggins has done in these movies was a major hint as to what we could expect from our once innocent hobbit come battle time.

And I don't like it - don't hate it, but don't like it either. Unlike the "real" BOFA poster to me this just doesn't seem to capture Bilbo. Shame this is being described as the "final character poster too....." 
Oh well, was a treat for the fans, and some of the posters WERE a real treat, and maybe w. the EE and BOFA it was all to jog the fans a bit...but since these seemed to be "quickies" wish they had done Fili, Kili at least, who I think would have looked great "dark and gritty".
Not to mention think at the end, Fili and Kili should have least gotten as much prominence as Tauriel IMO - no disrespect to her at all - and Azog and Sauron were supposed to be kind of important.

But the Legolas poster does have those enlarged pores. (That's my least favorite one and I try to avoid looking it. )

Bilbo looks like a crazed housewife, Gandalf is a rehash image, Thorin looks like an attacking Hun, and there is an eagle floating around that has nothing whatsoever to do with this film. Only Bard escaped unscathed (tho this was a rehash image as well....)

Don't know where the other images come from (if these are not just digital art but I don't think so....) but so here's this veteran of LOTR who didn't even deserve a new image AND gets a pore treatment in the opposite way we usually think AND think is the first elf in the history of ME to wind up with chubby cheeks.
I don't look at that one either.

'coz they have specials on facial primers and these pore zapper machines and machines with rotating brushes that I THINK you can also use to refinish furniture with!
