If you want a short sample - this is a one shot, that was my most broadly successful attempt (in that it got a lot of reads and positive reviews from people who were not previously my readers, nor big fans of my favorite character, Snape). It is set during the events of Book 7:

The first story I wrote that I referenced in my post, was titled "The Long Night", and it is a retelling of the climactic event of Book 6 and the events leading up to/following it, told from the point of view of Severus Snape. (It was written soon after the publication of Book 6, so now a bit AU).
