Store exclusive versions and offers for Desolation of Smaug on Blu-ray/DVD Can't Post

There doesn't seem to be as many exclusive versions for DOS as there was for AUJ last year. If there are any exclusives I've missed, please post them!
  • Target has an exclusive cover featuring Legolas and Tauriel, which includes a Legolas Lego figure and accessory kit.
  • Future Shop has an exclusive steelbook with Gandalf at Dol Guldur on the cover (thanks for the heads-up, KingTurgon!)
  • Walmart seems to be offering the DVD with a cover featuring Bilbo, with Dale and the Lonely Mountain in the background. I'm guessing this is a basic, single-disc DVD.
  • Best Buy is only offering a savings deal: "Save $10 on The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug on Blu-ray when purchased with LEGO The Hobbit game."
For AUJ, Best Buy offered an exclusive feature "A Hobbit's Tale Part 1" and a lenticular cover featuring Bilbo and Gollum. But apparently they have no exclusive for DOS (at least not advertised). What happened to A Hobbit's Tale Part 2?

If you find something different or new on your hunt for the best version, let us know!

About to get off work and head to Best Buy! [In reply to] Can't Post

Getting the ps4 edition of LEGO: The Hobbit and the Standard Blu-ray combo pack. Wink I'm getting the 3D one with bookends in the mail but I just like the cover art of the theatrical poster way better, plus it's $10 off, and can't hurt to have a spare copy. WinkSmile Can't wait. HOBBIT DAY!

It's a bummer that we didn't get a Hobbit's tale part 2 though Frown I really wish these releases had been more consistent with all the AUJ exclusives last year. I feel like the stores kinda dropped the ball on this one. oh well, it's all about the extended edition in the end isn't it?! Wink

It was from Amazon, so no special promo items for me.

Hopefully going to watch it this weekend!

Picked it up on my lunch break.

Not too excited that the box cover is the same on the blu-ray itself, but whatever... This is just to satisfy me until the EE anyway.

I hate Wal-mart [In reply to] Can't Post

They had the AUJ 2-disc in March, but not the AUJ 5-disc EE, OR the DOS 2-disc!

Nice! [In reply to] Can't Post

That sounds like a good idea. I might try to sneak the extras in as well.

Just now realizing how long it's been since I last saw it (before New Year's)!
