The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug nominated for 5 Critics' Choice Awards

The Broadcast Film Critics Association has announced their nominees for 2013, and The Desolation of Smaug has received 5 nods for Best Art Direction, Best Costume Design, Best Make-up, Best Visual Effects, and Best Actress in an Action Movie (Evangeline Lilly). Congrats to the nominees! I think I speak for a lot of us when I say I wish the film had scored a few more nominations. I would have loved nods especially for Cinematography and Original Score. Here's the full list of nominations. The leading films were 12 Years a Slave (if you haven't seen this film, drop what you're doing and run to the theater) and American Hustle.
