New CBS News Peter Jackson video interview Can't Post

This is a really great interview. I already liked PJ but this just made me like him 10x more! I was smiling like an idiot through the whole thing because it's so wonderful to see just how much he loves his job and how much joy he gets from it. Heart Someone should do a bio pic about him someday and call it "The Director Who Never Grew Up". I'd watch it!Smile

He is an amazing man [In reply to] Can't Post

Honest and passionate about what he does – and yes, refuses to grow up. For me, he is one of the best things about the ME films…

Many thanks for posting this. Smile

Enjoyed that! Thanks for posting it... [In reply to] Can't Post

I'd watch it too.

When he said that at times when things get really difficult he reminds himself how lucky he is to be doing what he always wanted, it made me realise something I've been thinking watching the EE documentaries. I reckon this has all been a lot harder for them all, but especially for him, than any of us on the outside realise. And still he gets so much pleasure out of it - I love those comments about being a Hobbit and not liking to leave his own personal Shire.

That's the CBS Early Show for you...they care about what they care about and when they don't care it's pretty obvious. That's one reason I prefer to watch Good Morning America. I'm pretty sure one of their news anchors is a closet LotR fan!Wink He actually made a quick reference to orcs, elves and dwarves yesterday. Made my morning!Smile

PJ proved he is a little kid... [In reply to] Can't Post

in those last shots in the Vlog 13..
Running
and skipping
with his handheld Camera..
Barefoot
of course!

Then he commented it
WAS
just like when
he was little kid
with his super 8 camera.

Bomby also loved
seeing him
as a KID!

Great interview! And I'm excited that he mentioned finally going back and revisiting his older movies for blu-ray releases. I've been waiting for that for a while.SmileSmile

Also...You may want to Tune-IN into CBS Sunday Morning? [In reply to] Can't Post

Charles Osgood
loves the Tolkien Books
and has featured
Peter before..

Steven Colbert could be
on his radar since
they might stop
into NYC before
off to Berlin?

Stephen Colbert does "Hobbit Week" again and has interviews with several of the cast next week. It was so fun to see him get so excited last year, decorate his set etc. Heart

Yes, I was going to comment on that cup of tea as well! [In reply to] Can't Post

Never out of his hand. What also gets me is the phenomenal amount of energy he must have to produce such giant creative enterprises, and to be so involved with them. He must be jet propelled by his enthusiasm!
