Uruk-hai ARE Orcs [In reply to] Can't Post

But assuming you mean the smaller, weaker variety only; I think the answer is self-evident.

There's a feeling I get, when I look to the West...

Numbers? [In reply to] Can't Post

If this were a game of Warhammer (or any other tabletop strategy game), then each fighting Uruk-hai would be worth about 2 1/2 smaller orcs (or "goblins" as I like to think of them), so it depends on what kind of numbers we're talking about here. A huge rampaging horde of nightwalking orcs could easily overwhelm a small group of Uruk-hai, but one-on-one the Uruk-hai would completely decimate the little orcs.

The world is changed. I feel it in the water. I feel it in the earth. I smell it in the air. Much that once was is lost, for none now live who remember it.

Yes but how are they at range? [In reply to] Can't Post

Not to mention, smaller size can be an advantage when dealing with larger creatures, not least because of the target areas the smaller creature is likely to focus on.

break and flee [In reply to] Can't Post

The smaller orcs would be easier to cause them to flee from the field if things go wrong, plus they're only usefull at night
