Thrush motive on The Hobbit DOS advertizing?

As I wrote here, I was today at the site of the upcoming European premiere for The Hobbit:DOS at Potsdamer Platz in Berlin, Germany.
The decoration looks like the hoard of Smaug's treasure with a golden inscription hovering above.
At closer look (when approaching the treasure hoard), I found that you can actually decipher the inscription on the coins. They are all stamped with TH:DOS logo and - a motif I haven't seen in advertizing before. A bird with wide-spread talons. I could grab one of the loose ones.
What bird could it be? A raven? A thrush? Any other DOS advertizing materials with this symbol on it?

... I wonder if it has any significance to the movie, or if they're just saving a Smaug sculpture for next year given that they'll be out of creatures next year if they do Smaug this year
