DOS tapestry Can't Post

Just revealed on Entertainment Weekly Smile :http://www.ew.com/...133_20752139,00.html

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost,
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Observation [In reply to] Can't Post

All the Dwarves are on the statue. Was this the case with the trailer? I can't remember. Because I thought half were staying behind at Laketown?

Love it! [In reply to] Can't Post

I'm surprised there isn't even a hint of Beorn or Lake Town on it though.

Beautiful ! [In reply to] Can't Post

Azog can be spotted on the bridge, in that same pause he has in each of the three trailers... does he even have more than one shot in that film ?

Nice... [In reply to] Can't Post

... They are really serious about the Beorn and Laketown suspense though ;)

I don't think I'd like Thranduil to walk toward me [In reply to] Can't Post

like that, with a sword in his hand. He has a "What did you say?" look about him!

Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..."
Dwarves: "Pretty rings..."
Men: "Pretty rings..."
Sauron: "Mine's better."

"Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak.

It 's probably photoshop just for this scrloll.

I think now there can be no doubts where the film ends...I'm in for a surprise thoughTongue

It's just for the poster ... [In reply to] Can't Post

It's just for effect - look at the rest of the poster, it doesn't really represent scale/plot etc in the film. It's just for tha banner, otherwise, the 13 Dwarves wouldn't all be on there. They still divide in the film.

Pretty rubbish photoshopping (again!). Look at Dwalin! It's like spotting Wally/Waldo. Wink

No... [In reply to] Can't Post

That shot of Azog on the bridge is his one cameo. Ori nails him in the eye with his slingshot while barrel riding, instantly killing him.

Missed him the first time around.

I note the spine and the ling chain lying on the staircase to the right of Gandalf. Its all fun and games until somebody loses their spine.
Wonder if it is a particular reference or merely scenery.

It can't be a particular spine because it's there twice [In reply to] Can't Post

the spine on the middle of the stairs is exactly the same as the one at the bottom of it, only horizontaly reversed. It's kinda annoying once you notice it

Spiders [In reply to] Can't Post

The eyestalks on those spiders are simultaneously semi-comical and quite disconcerting (if they are eyestalks; maybe they're just pedipalps). I wouldn't want to wake up and have a pair of those staring at me out of the gloom.
