Got mine today. [In reply to] Can't Post

A day earlier than Amazon estimated, yay! I have a busy couple of days coming and will probably have to wait for the weekend to watch it, though. I want to be able to relax and enjoy without interruption so I'm trying to be patient. Angelic

Query: for the UK [In reply to] Can't Post

Does anyone know if this can be ordered from the UK? It is closest to what I want, even if I do have to switch around the disks to put the UK ones in the US folder.

I live in the UK but want this version. [In reply to] Can't Post

I live in the UK and the version you have pictured here isn't available on Amazon UK. The on Amazon UK is much the same, but does not have the picture of the Company on the Carrock. If I order this version from the international Amazon, would it work on a UK DVD player?

Thanks :)

the US version is Region Code 1 (US and Canada) [In reply to] Can't Post

but the german version should be the same, though it's titled "Eine unerwartete Reise" and not out yet. so ican't say for sure.

I hate disgipacks! [In reply to] Can't Post

If I'll ever get AUJ, I'll go BD.
Digipacks suck. When they break, you cannot replace them and you are stuck with a broken deluxe case.
For me it's the first good move by WB.

i don't like CDs in digipack, but DVDs or BRs are great! [In reply to] Can't Post

but nonetheless i will buy the 2D BR edition, because it's the better quality and the movie is on one disc!

What about UK blu-ray edition (3D, 3Dwith gift statue (WETA)?

It's not on amazon.
Canada and US are region 1, German cover is in german language.

i don't know.. [In reply to] Can't Post

strange that the UK has completely different editions, and not many... the german ones are similar to the US, which is good this time!

Blu-Ray [In reply to] Can't Post

The blu-ray discs should be region free. That's why I've ordered mine from the US.

Taxes, etc. [In reply to] Can't Post

Even with the taxes, etc. it's still waaaay cheaper to buy from Amazon.com in the US than it is to get the German version, even if you opt for the fastest delivery (which I haven't). To be honest I'm doing it because I want the statue, and will be buying an "ordinary" version from Amazon in the UK as well - because we only have one blu ray player and a llot of different rooms we watch films in so we need an ordinary one anyway.

Yeah, what's up with that [In reply to] Can't Post

I was hoping they would allow a cover option or something, because the EE DVD set is far superior in looks to the Blu Ray. Oh well, it's what is inside the discs that matter I suppose, and I do like fewer discs to take care of and having to switch between.
