Battle of Pelennor Fields in Candy Can't Post

Missed Manners Pelennor FieldsThanks to Ringer Mike for alerting us to some very creative 'building' that took place over the Holidays. The family that runs the Miss(ed) Manners Blog have re-created the entirety of The Battle of Pelennor Fields using candy. It really defies explanation, so check it out for yourself! They also created a Helm's Deep with Candy Last year. [Pelennor Fields] [Helm's Deep]

Man, this is such a laugh! [In reply to] Can't Post

anytime I think that I'll too obsessed an LotR fan, I look at this and think--no, I'm NARF. oh, and besides not having made these awesome reenactments, I also don't speak Elvish. Or Elvis either, for that matter.

For Gondor!

Great job, hilarious comments.

Wow All that sugar makes my teeth hurt! [In reply to] Can't Post

I hope they do Caras Galadon ~~Rivendell ~~ etc. etc.

Did they say what they do with them after completion?

Wonder how they keep ants from invading....

Gigantic city eating monsters [In reply to] Can't Post

They would be called 'Penthe'. Yummy, and meticulous. I like it.

What happens if one eats the villains do you think? Stomach ache or moral victory?

I quite like cheese, you know.

I love it when people do these things! [In reply to] Can't Post

It always makes me so happy. They put so much hard work and creativity into it. I'd never have the patience to try. Or an idea of where to start.

That's just awesome!

*looking to see if any of the candy was made at my factory* Hmm... perhaps...

That's AweSoMe! Wow! [In reply to] Can't Post

SWEET! I'm staggered! I can imagine it started out as a fun project and had a good home-made recipe to follow... but how could you NOT get intensely eat-up as it really started taking shape! Ingredients for success :)

These really are stunning. I'm in awe... and really hungry now!
