Like it, but I would've switched Bilbo's place with Gandalf's.

Nice to see Gandalf's image large for a change among all the others – the mover and shaker of all things Middle-Earth. The smoke from Gandalf's pipe is a brilliant touch. The hand at the bottom is a bit awkward, but still, in terms of personages, at least Thranduil is not minimised by comparison to x 2.

In actual fact, thinking about it I prefer the posters that feature single individuals. I've just been looking at the Thorin, Thraunduil and Gandalf images posted earlier today on my Mac screen, lined up together. Those three posters are absolutely stunning (probably for me the best posters I've seen for the film thus far), and they have far more impact than the composite images.

Really liking the Thorin in profile shots. Interesting that Gandalf is front and center, I like the smoke dragon. Kinda wish some of the other dwarves were there too.

I don't know, the EE footage show him two legged... and on this picture the arms seem big enough so that we'd have see them... But I guess they would have changed the poster, it wouldn't have take long ! It's good that he has that profound chest that we saw in the trailer, means that the design is up-to-date...

When you watch the EE as Smaug enters Erebor and is stomping through the Dwarven soldiers it appears as his wings are visible next to his front feet/appendage. It sure looks like they are interconnected but its a brief view.

Love the little smoke Smaug :) The colours used - the teal/blue and yellow/orange is a tried and tested colour scheme for posters now it seems.

but the rest is a bit of a jumbled mess. Such is the modern movie poster. Nice to see they were able to fit Bilbo in there somewhere though.

It is a big 'ole photoshop collage, but that's typically what these final posters usually are. I think it's better than most, and we did already get the 'artistic' poster (Bilbo standing before Erebor). The spacing out of characters is a bit uneven, but so was the poster for TTT (and we had that weird moon thrown in there). I think it fits well with the franchise's previous final theatrical posters. LOVE Gandalf smoking his pipe w/Smaug in the smoke. While I get that Ian McKellen's the top billed cast member, Bilbo still could have been bigger than he is on the poster. Overall, thumbs up.
