Imho amazing pictures. And only major characters ;) http://www.empireonline.com/.../story.asp?NID=39190

I must get my copy on Thursday! It might just have to be the Thorin one- although they are all pretty good
Is there a Tolkien topic that you have wanted to look into more deeply and write about your thoughts on it? If so, we'd like to hear from you for the next TORn Amateur Symposium- coming in November. Happy writing!

The background with Laketown and the line "Bard the Bowman on the rooftops of Laketown" are really amazing! Now I'm getting really excited for this movie! Can't wait! Thank you Arannir!

Entirely new images, and of all the key characters! That's more like it. I'll have to search out the Thorin cover, though all of the covers are great.

"Bard The Bowman On The Rooftops Of Lake-town". We know from the leaked version of one of the vlogs that Bard is running along the rooftops during Smaug's attack on the city. If that is what the picture is and that is how they describe Bard's actions in the film could that indicate Smaug attacking Laketown will be in DOS?

From the write-up below the cover icons.
Last but not least is Luke Evans' Bard the Bowman, a debutant in the second part of Peter Jackson's trilogy, seen here defending Lake-Town from fiery menace. Would Empire know this? Maybe just an assumption based on any knowledge the web page editors might have of the leaked vlog?
