Dark Horizons set visit report Can't Post

Interesting read - I especially liked the mention of the 3 big cities of Lake-town, Dale and Erebor (although Dale and Erebor "will play much bigger parts in the third film").

Thanks for this! [In reply to] Can't Post

Great read - lots of new stuff - not the same old interviews that have been regurgitated recently - and good to see quotes from Fran Walsh. interestingly it seems GdT's influence will come to the fore most in this film..

Yes - thanks for the link [In reply to] Can't Post

There's a lot in that article that feels and sounds different.

I'm intrigued by the comments about the design, and Guillermo del Toro being more involved with this film. and as you say, about the cities. Very interesting - I think this film's going to be outstanding (even if I do have to watch the sp***** through closed eyes!)

Jeez... [In reply to] Can't Post

... I get so excited over the last couple of weeks. What is it, around 50 days now.

Ack! Don't remind me of the sp*****! [In reply to] Can't Post

I keep putting them out of my mind, and then suddenly get reminded. I will be hiding behind my seat during that scene Tongue

You and me both.... [In reply to] Can't Post

Well, I'll be behind my seat rather than yours... It's one instance where I was hoping for a very unfaithful adaptation. Why not squirrels? Mice? Anything four-legged I could cope with! Wink

"why couldn't it be..." [In reply to] Can't Post

"follow the butterflies?" Tongue

And actually, I think I might have a problem with squirrels--there are a couple in my yard that are seriously psychotic. I constantly expect them to leap out of trees and attack me (although for now they seem to content themselves with just digging up my flowers Mad). And can you imagine a ton of mice scurrying around? *Shudders*. How about a swarm of kittens and puppies? That I could handle Laugh

Weellll..... kittens and puppies would be OK [In reply to] Can't Post

.. except I'd hate to have my faith in the innocence of kittens ruined. Wink

Though, come to think of it, can you imagine a swarm of nice, fluffy kittens wrapping the dwarves in balls of wool? Now, that I'd pay to see!

(And I know what you've been reading! Tongue )

carnivores... [In reply to] Can't Post

my cats look at house spiders curiously. Then they bat them around. Then they eat them. Ants and crickets too. It doesn't pay to have 6-8 legs in my house = fun snack.
