Hi guys, I was at Cardiff Film and Comic Con at the weekend. It was attended by Adam Brown (Ori), Mark Hadlow (Dori) and John Callen (Oin). They were all such lovely people to speak to, very down to earth and very thankful for being part of the films. They did 2 cast Talks over the weekend, both of which i attended. They talked about various things during filming and the fun they had on set. Also they said that going to conventions and meeting fans makes them so happy to be part of Tolkien fandom. They also talked a little about film 3 and Eagles. They were talking about how Sir Ian McKellen liked to mess around on set, and spoke of a scene in film 3. I cannot remember the exact line, but the basis of it was ''The Eagles came for you.'' which Gandalf says to someone. Sir Ian kept changing it to ''The Beagles came for you.'' which kept making the rest of the people laugh. So that confirms Eagles in film 3, even though that was a given really.. Mark Hadlow also brought a Smaug coin with him, which he showed to the crowd, and mentioned that a few of the Dwarf actors kept knicking them from the set. :). John Callen also brought his Ear horn, which was crushed, but very cool! The cast panels, and meeting the actors themselves was fantastic. All such lovely guys. On the spur of the moment i recorded a few clips of the panels on my phone, the video quality is poor. but they are still quite fun! http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL7X4URaAbn-liHE2bwbWYWHl5OIQ6KZZK

They do seem to be loving doing the conventions, don't they? Did they drop any hints about DoS? I am wondering if the cast saw some of the footage while they were doing the pick-ups.

Dori/Mark Hadlow is my favorite of the dwarves, so I always like to get more of him. I'm really hoping that he helps Bilbo up a tree either in the EE or in DOS (Mirkwood). He says it was filmed but its not in AUJ theatrical edition and I doubt that it was put back in. It seems they replaced this with Bilbo's sword being caught in a warg.

It's nice that they enjoy meeting fans of the films and answering questions. I liked PJ's nickname for the company.
Yes, my username is terrible.

I really enjoy reading people's accounts of these events, and your videos were great! The cast are such a fun bunch. What was the context of the harness story?

They were asked what their favourite scene was, Adam said it was them being in the tree at the end of AUJ. //
