Hobbit set fires up for new movie shoot Can't Post

Confused (and confusing) news item from the Dompost. http://www.stuff.co.nz/...-for-new-movie-shoot
The writer doesn't seem aware that Dale has already appeared in AUJ.

At first [In reply to] Can't Post

I was excited because I thought this:

Quote
Another set shows an elaborate entrance carved into a stone wall, possibly the gates to Erebor, the lost dwarven city where Smaug lives.

was referring to the secret door into the mountain. But after reading carefully and in light of the rest of the article, I think it's just referring to the main gates, which also have already been shown.

Ah well Unsure. Maybe we'll get some new news soon Smile.

Also..."Another set shows an elaborate entrance

Bomby thinks

BO5A. Notice the light snow on the roofs. The battle takes place in winter!

Still exciting, though [In reply to] Can't Post

If they're getting stuff of the main gates, maybe they've yet to shoot the negotiation scenes between Bard and Thorin. That, or there will be some great action before the gates of Erebor in The Batlle of fIve Armies.

snow [In reply to] Can't Post

SPOILER AHEAD:

The death scenes in the Bo5A could look stunning with a light snow. Imagine how great it would look. Or having one of the dying characters facing up, watching the snow fall towards them. That would be really cool visually.

About Snow! [In reply to] Can't Post

In April, Bomby was working in our
Misty (Rocky) Mountains.
Driving home late, the Snow at 65 miles an hour was
streaming Straight at the Headlamps.
Impossible to drive with your High Beams on.

Think that First "Leap to Hyper-Space in Star Wars"

Snowflakes, like a million Stars, straight in your face.
Well, Yes, one of Heros may look straight up,
and in 3D
we get to see THAT!

The Reach of Tolkien has grown Far? Indeed... [In reply to] Can't Post

in south-central Colorado
there is a small Ski Area named Monarch.
On the back side is a "Named Glade"
called "Mirkwood!"

Bomby needs to ski this!
