A bit like “Ro’s been thinking” And it’s just a bit of idiocy to fill in the time till tonight/morning (my time). After reading all the comments about the various cast members of The Hobbit, people agreeing or disagreeing as to whether they do a good job or not, and remembering when they were announced and TORnadoes from the US mostly going Huh?!? Who’re they? I got to thinking, what would be your ultimate horror casting for both LOTR and TH, based on the ridiculously famous from all of these reality tv programmes?
Bag ENZ Home of the Hobbit *with thanks to cameragod ;D* One by one they faded, and fell into shadow... One book to rule them all One book to find them One book to bring them all And in TORn bind them In the land of TORnadoes...where the brilliant play

As Arwen or Tauriel. Well, if any reality star were in TH or LotR, I would scream blue murder and hide in a Hobbit hole for the rest of my life, cursing the fall of mankind and its morality.

If you splash the boards, you will have to clean the floors yourself . We have had the worst reality soaps on tv here in The Netherlands, one was "Oh, oh, Cherso", a group of late teenagers from a city (The Hague) going to Crete in Greece for a "fun" trip, drinking and doing things you are not supposed to do on tv (and I'm not even allowed to type here). And they all showed it, one girl, she nicknamed herself Barbie. Was just so dumb, didn't know anything for normal life, totally bleached hair, fake breasts, those ugly long fingernails. And she got several spin offs from this one tv show. Showing her doing more stupid things (getting married, getting a child). She would be my utmost, terrible, never seeing, Galadriel. Trying to paste a link to a picture of her: http://static3.ad.nl/.../media_xl_687777.jpg

1. ian mckellan as galadriel 2. domanic monaghan as galadriel okay. i'm going to pretend i'm a pernicious hollywood producer. i have no respect for the source material. which i will probably eviscerate anyway. i am only casting with box office in mind, and how that will enable me to afford the mortgage on my $25 million dollar estate and adjoining vanity winery. here are the results: 1. angelina jolie as arwen 2. ben affleck as aragorn (or brad pitt -- if pitt, then i'd want to cast jennifer aniston as eowyn) 3. megan fox or kristin stewart as eowyn 4. johnny depp as elrond 5. robert pattinson as faramir (especially if kristin stewart is eowyn) 6. ryan gosling as boromir 7. robert dinero as denethor 8. jack nicolson as gandalf 9. justin bieber (or michael buble) as legolas 10. george clooney as theoden 11. arnold schwarzenneger as gimli 12. matt damon as frodo 13. donny wallberg as sam 14. tim allen or louis c k as merry 15. tim allen or louis c k as pippin 16. amy adams or cameron diaz or drew barrymore as galadriel 17. bruce willis as gollum 18. gene hackman as saruman 19. al pacino as wormtongue then i sit back, and start browsing catalogs for my new infinity pool, and that island in the caribbean i want to buy. richard branson and i have a lot in common. cheers -- .
aka. fili orc-enshield +++++++++++++++++++ the scene, as i understand it, is exceptionally well-written. fili (in sort of a callback to the scene with the eagles), calls out "thorRIIIIIIN!!!" just as he sees the pale orc veer in for the kill. he picks up the severed arm of an orc which is lying on the ground, swings it up in desperation, effectively blocking the pale orc's blow. and thus, forever after, fili is known as "fili orc-enshield." this earns him deep respect from his hard-to-please uncle. as well as a hug. kili wipes his boots on the pale orc's glory box. -- maciliel

Anything with Lindsey Lohan would be a horror. [In reply to] Quote | Reply To This Post Imagine her as Galadriel! oh, carp. i forgot about her.... thanks, eowyn3.... i'll have to work her in somewhere. i know lots of great script doctors. i'll get a rewrite, and we'll create a special role for her. queen of gondoria or something. or maybe --- she's queen of the hobbits. yes! that's totally it! and i'll have her sing, just like altman did in "a prairie home companion." that will please the "art" crowd. how many oscar nominations can i get out of this? multiply each nomination by $5 million. which means, another house in aspen, some more baby chimps for my personal zoo, and a pricey swiss finishing school for my eldest daughter, whom i'm grooming to marry royalty, the way alva vanderbilt did with consuelo. prince william is taken, but there's probably a dispossessed bourbon or two floating about. or maybe a hohenzolleran. please see my movie. you must see my movie. do not get between me and my social climbing and my bank account in the caiman islands. thank you. cheers -- .

Guess I should be pleased they like hanging out at our place, but boy was I glad when they all left, especially when youngest sons mate invited himself along too! Gah, I feel your pain *Lindsay Lohan! shudder*
