Viggo Mortensen enjoyed 'The Hobbit'. Can't Post

Vulture.com have a relatively short interview up with Viggo Mortensen. The interview is mainly about his recent work, but he does go on to say that he watched The Hobbit in Argentina, and thought it was "fun".

Yeah, I did. I went on opening day to see it. I was actually in Argentina, and I went with a bunch of kids and their parents. It was kind of a party atmosphere, it was fun, it was in 3-D, and they had popcorn. I enjoyed it. In particular it was nice to see some of the landscapes I remembered. It was a nice trip down memory lane, where wed shot near some of the places where Id gone camping or fishing.

Glad to hear it [In reply to] Can't Post

Viggo's a nice guy. It's nice to know that he enjoyed the film, and even went to see it, even though he was not in it.

that's nice! ^_^ [In reply to] Can't Post

He does seem like a nice guy. And I found out something interesting. His son was in The Two Towers, uncredited as "Reluctant Rohan Child Warrior". But you guys probably already knew that. Blush

If I remember the commentary correctly [In reply to] Can't Post

The boy, Haleth, who talks to Aragorn is Philipa Boyens son; the boy wearing the helmet behind him is Viggo's son.
