Bomby occasionally gets "Blinding-Insights from OUR Goldberry in Valinor" They are like Lightspeed messages that Pass from the West into the East of YOUR Bomby's Mind? Everyone's Goldberry needs..YOUR..Bomby to share.. Theater goes black, .. First Shot is the Marketplace in Hobbiton... Belladonna is holding hands with a 10 year old Bilbo (from behind)..walking and shopping.. ...buying Toys from someplace called Dale?. ..She wants him to know that there are many very nice people over the Misty Mountains? "How far far away is Dale?.. Momma?" "Never been there... but, 3 dwarves stayed with Bungo & Momma for 2 days... .they needed a rest since it was still far.. to get to the Blue Mountains in the West." One of them carved you favorite Toy while staying with us" .. "Momma, Why there?" "They didn't say much..Something about a Dragon?" Then?.. BabyBilbo turns around and walks right into Gandalf... about knee high. .. "Why...Belladonna.. What do we have here?". "Oh! Gandalf this is my SON....Bilbo meet Gandalf.. He is a Wizard,...he would know why those Dwarves were...." (Continue.. whatever your InnerGoldberry wants you to Vision?) Goldberry'sBoyBomby

I think we're more likely to see the young Bilbo flashback in the AUJ: EE, especially as McKellen pretty much confirmed it. I suspect it will either be the fate of Thrain (with possibly something about the rings thrown in) or the history of Beorn. The former seems more probable given that we'll surely have to see it before Gandalf's encounter with Thrain in Dol Guldur.

... but what a good idea. I am afraid this scene might really put the opening hour of the movie over the top - so I would love to see it as an intro to DoS... maybe even TABA.

Even younger than ten would be fine by me, because he is bound to be cute as a button. I'd like to see something--even just a glimpse--of little Bilbo that brings to mind Gandalf's words in the movie: "I remember a young hobbit who was always running off in search of Elves in the woods. He'd stay out late, come home, after dark, trailing mud and twigs and fireflies." I would also love to meet Belladonna Took, since she apparently made an impression on Gandalf, or was great friends with him, apart from her father (Old Took). I love your idea, Bomby! However, I have no idea when/where any of our ideas could be squeezed in in the next two movies, more's the pity.

I'm guessing the prologue will involve Beorn's torture scene. I think we'll see Bolg torturing Beorn, wich may explain his hate for orcs/goblins, and may be the reason on him killing Bolg at the last movie.

Would make for a good reason to explain why he dislikes Orcs/Goblins so much.

Why would it be done in that order?

That would be sort of confusing. We see Beorn being tortured, and then when the dwarves arrive, he's perfectly fine? I suppose you're thinking that it's more like Gollum: Give people some history of Beorn before we meet him? Maybe, but that also sort of takes all the punch out of meeting him for the first time as Bilbo, Gandalf and the others visit. I doubt that sequence is going to be as slow and gradual as written, but there has to be some sense of wonder at finding this big guy way out in the wilderness by himself. We know from the actor that some kind of scene like that exists, but you're not going to see what I think you want to see. The whole sequence is going to be really interesting, and I expect to see some liberties taken with it by the production team. How and why Beorn doesn't like goblins and wargs can be told in other ways.
