"sneak peek" terribly unfair!

So the live sneak peek for Desolation of Smaug is on March 24th, but the DVD doesn't come out until April in most (practically all) countries. I guess I'll be getting an imported version. Which is a shame, because I like the UK 3D Blu-ray case.

It depends when it'll be uploaded

and I doubt WB will make it easy for someone to just upload it online. Considering the main goal is to stack in as much money as possible out of this, they might keep it really tight and delete any videos surfacing online Unless its some camera version filmed off a monitor (which I definitely wouldn't want to see)...

on how hard you want to look for it online - it will be there for sure. If they take it down, someone else will upload it, its just the way it is these days.

I got the idea that an edited version of the sneak peek would be uploaded to their official site as soon as it is premiered. The real version may take some time though, it's impossible to tell.

… be available to other countries when the DVDs come out there a few weeks later? Really, they should be putting such material in with the DVDs, not making things complicated for customers by putting it on the Internet.

I'm not sure if they said anything about it being available in other countries. But you're right, it really should just come with the blu-ray/dvd itself. Having it be a live event just sounds like a terrible and strange idea to me.

...I stated it earlier. These Americans do have some nerve. Especially given their boxoffice numbers.

They can't stop the film from being online either. One of the most downloaded films of the last 12 months. They can't prevent this either.

Or catch it online. You're still going to have to wait for the second film, then the second film EE, then the third film, then the third film EE, then the 3-pack with even more bonus content... Patience!

I'm waiting for the 3-pack (or 6-pack if they offer that as well). I'm not buying every movie individually knowing I'll have to rebuy them when they release more content on the 3-pack. If I see this scene it's because I'll see it online. Trust me, it'll show up somewhere. If not, I can wait, it's nothing compared to waiting for an entire movie.

I can wait, it's nothing compared to waiting for an entire movie. We have to wait for the film anyway - this is only going to be a few minutes' worth of clips after all (I imagine, anyway!).
