I sometimes think The Shire is too sunny!
Sure, everyones image of the Shire is sunny, but i keep thinking of some of Alan Lee and John Howe's paintings and the fact that the Shire is based on the English countryside, which has alot of rain, and think i'd love to see a wind-swept, rainy Hobbiton and imagine all the hobbits sheltering indoors with their lights and fires on, telling tales by a roaring fire as the rain hammers on the windows.

but even so, he'd still have to have some long eyebrows to pull it off.
You know, we haven't seen it yet, but behind those braids on his forehead would be a great place to tuck something like a pencil. Sort of like tucking a pencil behind your ear, but not quite. Not that dwarves use pencils. A small knife, maybe?

It's in the artbook. He has a sketchbook and drawing kit among his things; Adam Brown did his own sketches in the book and according to the prop master he was pretty good. It's a shame we never get to see all these lovely things they design, except in the artbooks.
Of course, he doesn't braid his eyebrows, so that doesn't help!
