Tom Bombadil vs Beorn

Can't Post

Gogo Beorn! Though Bomby may win by making Beorn bored to death with his endless tra-la-laly songs about Goldberry and the Old Forest.
The greatest adventure is what lies ahead.

Five bee nests through the door of his house. Jam doors and windows. Ten minutes later, old Tom Bombadil will be begging for mercy.

While Beorn is a powerful human, he ultimately is just that: a human. While he could quite happily deal with most people when in bear-form, he wouldn't have a chance to get anywhere near Bombadil. He'd be sung to death!

Beorn is awesome and very strong, Tom is more magical and he has an ancient power which far surpasses Beorns. It would be a fight which would probably end fairly quickly and wouldn't take Tom Bombadil much effort.

he sorted out Willows and Wights pretty sharpish. and he likes nekkid dancing, Beorn would just blush and amble off to eat some honey.

Beorn has power but it is mortal based IMHO. Bombadil I believe is a spirit of the earth... a lesser Vali as described in the Book of Lost Tales part one... The Coming of the Valar... About them fared a great host who are the sprites of trees and woods, of dale and forest and mountain side, or those that sing amid the grass at morning and chant among the standing corn at eve. These are the Nermir, the Tavari, Nandini and Orossi, brownies, pixies, fays, leprawns and what else they are called for their number is great, yet they must not be confused with the Eldar, for they were born befor the world and are older than its oldest and are not of it but laugh t it much for had they not something to do with its making.

I think Tom would get him because of his magical immortal nature and ability to enchant. However Beorn would be a fierce adversary just by the nature he is probably one the fiercest physical forces in Middle Earth.

Tom can sing plants and animals to sleep. Would that apply to Beorn since he can turn into a bear or not? Either way I think that Tom would win because he can use magic.
