ITV is relaunching the Thunderbirds programme, and it will be made by NZ companies Weta Workshop and Pukeko Pictures: http://tvnz.co.nz/...-new-zealand-5333420 As it's Weta Workshop and not Weta Digital, I have hopes this means we'll see puppets and not animation.
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. I used to watch them everyday before school and even though it looked kinda odd with the string etc compared to the TV of the time, it was still such a good show. I know a few people who watch it now (in their 20's). It's a shame it couldnt have been made in the UK (from a jobs perspective, over here we could do with it) but great news for Weta Workshop and Pukeko Pictures - lots of pressure on them to deliver something brilliant, though i am sure Weta will come through as they always do. Will be watching the first episode for sure.
