Those few who recognize my avatar should realize that I am a big fan of Leji Matsumoto's Space Pirate Captain Harlock (more of the Arcadia of My Youth movie and its TV follow-up than of the original show and manga). The upcoming CG adaptation is directed by Shinji Aramaki (Appleseed) and it looks quite stylish. I hope that it is at least as good as it looks.

The effects look fantastic...I'm very familiar with anime but I haven't heard of this until today.
