You will do an awesome job, I am sure of it. Can we hide some spam on the boards for you to sniff out, and break you in?
I have 5 days left until I leave for South Georgia. If I'm honest, I am incredibly excited, but also slightly anxious. A 4 day trip on a shipping vessel doesn't sit well with me.

So now, puts on my very stern secretary look (and my boss is terrified of the look, mind you), I'm a radiant sunbeam, so trolls... turn to stone now. And all the rest, behave!! otherwise I will tangle you in my ribbons.

I'll be visiting my parents tomorrow, shopping with my mum, very important.
And Sunday I'll be hoping my class mates did their part of the homework so I can combine all of the work and we can hand in our homework assignment (have I ever mentioned how I hate group work at school, seems I'm the only one doing stuff).

Good luck on your trip. Sounds exciting and I can understand you are a bit anxious. I always am before a big trip. And I'm absolutely not joining you on a vessel, absolute motion sickness, yuk.

Always great to have another admin.
*rubs hands together* It's cold here today! A heavy frost last night so I've got the fire stoked up. A hot rum toddy would be a treat, as I am fighting a chest cold and have a another day of celebration tomorrow -- it's hubby's 65th birthday and so we're having a big family gathering. Fortunately my daughter is in her element organizing such things so I just have to participate. I told him this is the last one now he's officially a senior!

Hi everyone!
Congrats to you, Rosie-with-the-Ribbons!
All is well with me. I want to start being on TORN more regularly again, though! I've missed you all!
My weekend plans include finally taking down Christmas decorations, and singing in my choir concert (Poulenc's *Gloria* and *Stabat Mater*).
Hope all of you have been well and enjoying this Hobbit-y time!

And I hope this means we'll be seeing more of her (in regards to posting and not just silent admin-ing) around here. I've missed her. :-)
It is cloudy and warm (35F) here and it's been raining. But starting tonight a cold snap will roll in and drive us close to zero when all those puddles will freeze. I'm glad I got groceries and the car filled up yesterday.
A few days ago, I wanted to watch The Hobbit one more time and use up the balance of a gift card I had. I decided to go to a 3:30 matinee instead of a 11:00 am one and that gave me time for the dreaded 'look for another job' routine. But... I found a job listing for library aides for which I think I'm pretty 'qualified'. More qualified than most of the other jobs I see listed out there. I know there will be a ton of applicants and anyone that speaks another language will surely be bumped to the top of the list since Minneapolis, at least, (within the county library system) has a lot of immigrants. But it's the first time I've felt anything but discouraged in a while. Why does it take hours to apply for one job? I always wonder that when I'm done. But I'm happy with the application I submitted.
And I enjoyed the Hobbit movie when I saw it later in the day.
I am trying to get a few Mathom-house items attended to and I feel like my LOTR soundtrack site has been neglected for too long. So those two items, along with a dozen household tasks, will beckon me this weekend.

Couldn't happen to a nicer person. You deserve it.
I could lend you my old fraternity paddle that has been already been broken in (mostly on me ) that might come in handy with the 'what-were-all' that happens to wander in from the wild. A two handed grip is the most effective lol.

Tea for me, as I watch the long-hoped-for snow fall. We're finally getting back into routine here after the holidays, just in time for our routine to (potentially) change. Beamer (my daughter) may start taking two of her classes online, and I'm contemplating a research project that would continue the work I started with my Master's thesis.
