Without any hyperbole, it ruins the movie on every level: it distracts the audience from the story and narrative; it's irritating to watch (physically and psychologically); it makes the sets look cheap; it takes away from the performances; it looks grotesquely like video; it feels wrong on every level.
And thankfully, most other people feel that way so that this abomination called 48fps can disappear back to the shadows from whence it came.
