Agree here too. [In reply to] Can't Post

Keane was dangerous territory for these guys. (At least the guys that ended up here). Glad to hear one of them attempt it. I think he did an acceptable job for his choice. But seriously, the guys were embarrassing. And his pitch was something terrible, which I could say for most of the guys. I missed Wednesday and the girls, but from what I saw and heard afterward, they have the guys thrashed. I'm no follower of Idol, but am not impressed with what I've seen so far. As a Keane fan from before they were "popular", it was good to hear someone tackle Tom's vocal, and not completely butcher it.

I usually agree with what he says about a given performance [In reply to] Can't Post

but more often than not disagree with what he says about the performers. Many times I think they have more potential, with the right training, than he will give them credit for and at that point it become more about Simon getting off a good line than Simon saying something about the abilities of the person.

OK I'm not sure why that stupid "best-friend-forever" chick didn't get the axe last night! That second girl who got cut (I think her name was Nicole) was a MILLION times more talented than that giggly-BFF-chick!

Realistically, [In reply to] Can't Post

Nicole was going to go soon, anyway, and I don't think Antonella will last much longer. Neither is in the same league with the top female contenders.

True. I just think it is cosmically unjust that Antoinella is still there. She should've never made it out of Hollywood!

BFF chick [In reply to] Can't Post

is gorgeous. I'm sure that's the ONLY reason.

I wasn't upset at who got cut, but would've liked to see BFF and Sundance go.

I was happy about the song.... [In reply to] Can't Post

But not his performance. I don't think beat box guy is going to last too long. Unless he improves a lot -- I hope he does, because he's different, and I like him.

Where's Frodo?

Picks [In reply to] Can't Post

Yes, Sundance must go, I'm sad to say. I actually liked the first guy's performance, but can accept that he wouldn't have won. I like Sanjaya a lot, but his performance was underwhelming. I'm glad he survived. I also like Nick Pedro, but am worried about his future (Vote for Pedro!). The peppy little guy who went last or second last had the best performance for the guys. Also, I Heart Chris Sligh. Mr. FF and I call him Hurley.Laugh

Unfortunately, I fell asleep during the girls' show and only remember seeing Halle Berry (LOL, L-L) and Lakisha. They were both fantastic!

What I really liked [In reply to] Can't Post

was his group in Hollywood week! I thought they were by far the best group I've heard on Idol, and I would have loved to hear more of them!

So Idol is going to be very interesting tonight. Apparently there are some rather interesting pictures of Antonella "Best Friend Forever" Barba out on the internet.

Not that I know anything about them....

This is a good example of why this board should keep threads on the front page as long as they keep getting activity. It's kinda dumb to have to do a new AI thread every week, and lose all of the previous conversation from earlier weeks.

Oh well....

Come on Far - get the new thread up for this week!

I agree and this [In reply to] Can't Post

is the only complaint i've had about the new TORn boards thus far. I know they wanted to keep the feel of the old boards but this will get some play every week and having the old thread to reply to would be great.

Okay, but [In reply to] Can't Post

how about Wednesday night/Thursday morning after the girls sing? I have been working more and that way I can do a drive by post and then check back later.
I'll keep the title of the thread ( I knew FOX news would be good for *something* !) and just indicate what week it is, etc.
I agree, HOT posts should automatically *bump* up. Darn Board. *runs*

No way [In reply to] Can't Post

I would suggest starting it after the Tuesday show. That way we can start dogging on the bad performances when they're fresh in our minds. Plus, we should probably let this thread die, since people apparently aren't sorting threads by activity. I see there's already another Idol thread for this week. Maybe you can start your official weekly thread next week (another reason you need to get it up early, banana-girl).
