Do we get the same wavy distortion we saw in LotR. Does he just disappear or something else?

The effect is the same. Of course there is no Eye and no black speech, because Sauron is way too weak, but the fading of the colors and the "wavy distortion" are there. So same ring, same effect

...you gave a very specific reference to the worst scene in the movie, which implies to me that one particular scene stands out as being bad. Would you be happy to give us more details about it? Is its poor quality down to immature humour, or inadequate CGI, or bad acting, or...? Did it push you out of Middle Earth at all? It was poor quality AND immature humour AND inadequate godawful CGI. There was no acting in the scene. To be honest it was true to the main character involved but was so poorly done and it diminished a specific menace. It didn't took me out of Middle Earth because it's a short scene and I was already so fully imersed. And I am not that kind of person anyway. There are things in LotrR that I can not stand anymore, but I live with that. I'm also interested in the moon runes. Do you remember if they translated them as "Stand by the grey stone when the thrush knocks, and the setting sun with the last light of Durin's Day will shine upon the key-hole" as in the book, or if the riddle has been altered at all? Yes I can say it is that word for word.

Sorry if this was asked before but how does Bilbo's finding the one ring in The Hobbit compare with the Fellowships prolog version. Any preferences to which one is better?

Is the iconic "In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit..." included in any way in the movie?

Gandalf exploring Dol Guldur......present in this movie? sorry if this was already answered elsewhere, i'm trying to avoid a ton of spoilers but was just curious if we still see Gandalf encountering Thorin's father in the dungeons of the Necromancer? i heard a lot of the stuff in the trailers didn't make it in the movie. (Subject line edited to remove spoilers)

1.) We already know from viewers that we'll see a hint of the Necromancer and also a Nazgūl attacking Radagast. But are there other enemies in Dol Guldur when Radagast visits it? 2.) Are the spiders attacking Rhosgobel servants of Sauron or do they appear as independent creatures? Is their attack perhaps a reaction to Radagasts investigation in Dol Guldur? 3.) Are there any hints of a connection between Azog and Sauron? (Just YES or NO) 4.) Any hints that Radagast identifies this black shadow in Dol Guldur/Necromancer as Sauron? 5.) Is the name "Necromancer" used by someone? Radagast, Saruman, Galadriel, Gandalf or Elrond?

Riddles in the dark is one of the best scenes in the Hobbit, If not the best. At the oscars this year we will see a few clips from these scene... But to compare the two is unfair. In FotR it is just part of an expositionnal prologue. They had to be short and effective. In the Hobbit the tension is built slowly, there is a lot of creepiness, especially the way Gollum loose the ring in the first place. Or more acurately the reason behind it. Oh and in the Hobbit, Bilbo sees Gollum before he takes the ring, so one could says he knows to whom it belongs right away...

What's your opinion about the new warg designs? In the trailers they look pretty "fake" in my opinion... Did that change in the final cut of the movie?

I have a sneaking suspicion about the worst scene, but don't want to ask here--and find out I'm wrong.
Frito groaned. "I wish I had never been born," he said. "Do not say that, dear Frito," cried Orlon. "It was a happy minute for us all when you were born."

I find the design much much better than in TT. The fact that they look more like wolves is not only great when you consider the book, but there is also a massive presence of animals in the Hobbit, much more than in LotR as a whole. So they look like hellish wolves and not like beasts from hell, if that makes sens... But the execution, the special effects, the CGI, call it like you want, is...I don't want to be harsh, but the best shots look ok, and most of the shots are atrocious, seriously. And I think it is due mainly to only one weakness. The integration. WETA can not make them run in an actual ground in a believable way. In the extended clip they are quite good, because they are mainly in close up. But in wide shots in broad daylight it is as bad if not worse than in TT. The night scene is a bit better, but then again It is like one group of digital artists farmed the wargs and an other one the riders...it doesn't match. And one character seemed to be put there in the last minute, like the Troll vs Aragorn at the gates of Mordor.

There are things in LotrR that I can not stand anymore, but I live with that. Wow, was it that bad? I have a feeling it is somewhere near the end, with the wargs? For some reason, they don't seem all that realistic to me- I can appreciate fantasy design but poor quality CGI is a killer. I'm really intrigued to know: which character was involved in that scene? Another question, if you don't mind... You said another bad scene involved Radagast as the protagonist. Was this also a case of poor CGI? Could you perhaps elaborate on what happens in the scene itself?

lots of answers :) 1.) We already know from viewers that we'll see a hint of the Necromancer and also a Nazgūl attacking Radagast. But are there other enemies in Dol Guldur when Radagast visits it? I can tell for certain that it was a Nazgūl..I would say at least it was a wright. So a wright, the Necormancer, and that is it. Nothing else, oh yes there were bats pursuing Radagast as he flew from Dol Guldur, I almost forgot about it :) 2.) Are the spiders attacking Rhosgobel servants of Sauron or do they appear as independent creatures? Is their attack perhaps a reaction to Radagasts investigation in Dol Guldur? The attack is set befor the investigations, and Radagast think they are spawns of Ungoliant and are tied to Dol Guldur. 3.) Are there any hints of a connection between Azog and Sauron? (Just YES or NO) No 4.) Any hints that Radagast identifies this black shadow in Dol Guldur/Necromancer as Sauron? Not Radagast... 5.) Is the name "Necromancer" used by someone? Radagast, Saruman, Galadriel, Gandalf or Elrond? Radagast says someting like "it calls himself the Necromancer"

Another question, if you don't mind... You said another bad scene involved Radagast as the protagonist. Was this also a case of poor CGI? Could you perhaps elaborate on what happens in the scene itself? That is exactly the scene I am refering to as the worst. The scene at the end is poor regarding CGI but it is neither silly nor inappropriate. Seriously I don't want to describe it, because it is the execution that is the worst, you have to see it by yourself. Let's say it is a croos between "riders of rohan" and Jarjar binks... BUT... Keep in mind that the movie is awesome as a whole. This scene is just about 2 minutes long. The movie last for about 2h47...

4.) Any hints that Radagast identifies this black shadow in Dol Guldur/Necromancer as Sauron? - Not Radagast... 4.2.) Okay.. but do they really identify him as Sauron in AUJ? Or do they only assume it is him?

They even assume it's him. Let's say than when one of them says The "force calling himself the Necromancer" is a serious menace, another says that Sauron is dead for a long time and it's probably a human doing black magic... and then the first one seems puzzled and suspicious. But that is my interpretation. There is a link from the morgul blade to Sauron but not everyone seems willing to see it...
