You have quite a talent, very reminiscent of the peaceful, perfect Bag End of The Hobbit (it's not quite so peaceful when Ringwraiths are about!). Pictures like this make me wish I was Bilbo.
"Radagast is, of course, a worthy wizard, a master of shapes and changes of hue, and he has much lore of herbs and beasts, and birds are especially his friends."-Gandalf, The Lord of the Rings.

Where have you put the mural?
Celebrimbor: "Pretty rings..." Dwarves: "Pretty rings..." Men: "Pretty rings..." Sauron: "Mine's better." "Ah, how ironic, the addictive qualities of Sauron’s master weapon led to its own destruction. Which just goes to show, kids - if you want two small and noble souls to succeed on a mission of dire importance... send an evil-minded beggar with them too." - Gandalf's Diaries, final par, by Ufthak. Have you painted this within an inset of your wall, or is the wall flat and I've been fooled by the quality of your work? I'd be very happy to have this on my living room wall - it has a relaxing, homely feel to it.

It opens up the room and reminds you every day of a place we'd all like to be. Beautifully done! Unfortunately there's no green emoticon for envy, so just . Maybe you'll inspire someone else to attempt A Room with a Middle-earth View. Hmmm...I have a couple of less-than-appealing closet doors.....

Thank you for the compliment. The mural is on a flat wall. Its a type of style called "trompe l'oeil". It gives the painting a 3-D quality to it. Thank you again for your feedback. here is a link to a video of the mural to show you its flat. http://youtu.be/aTirFj5v8Vk

That is beautiful and amazing and I really want it in my house now! You've managed to get a lot of depth into that landscape. Brilliant work, you're very talented!
"Earth shakes Stone breaks The forest is at your door The dark sleep is broken The woods have awoken The trees have gone to war Roots rend, wood bends The Ents have answered the call Through branches now the wind sings Fell the power of living things The trees have gone to war" From 'The Ents'

Thank you all again for your very kind comments regarding the mural. I had some links attached to the original post but they seem to be corrupted. Here is a working one that I just uploaded. http://youtu.be/oxOLLSrknn8

I wish I could paint like that. But I have no talent for painting (and I've tried time and again ). Usually I find "wall-tattoos" tacky, but this one I would buy in a flash.
