Before I see the movie, I wanted to say thank you to Peter Jackson and the entire production team (cast, crew, producers, distributors, etc.) for bringing my favorite childhood books and favorite fictitious world to the big screen. I know the Lord of the Rings films had, and the new Hobbit films will also have, things that I wish had been presented differently; however, I still feel very fortunate that these movies are being created in my lifetime. Thank you Peter for having the vision and passion to see these films from conception to reality, and to everyone involved for helping deliver that vision, so that we have the opportunity to experience, and enjoy or dislike them as we see fit. No matter the outcome, for that I am truly grateful….

Even though the movies didn't entirely agree with my own visions, it is just so great to have have these fabulous works on the big screen! So Thank You from me too
Frito groaned. "I wish I had never been born," he said. "Do not say that, dear Frito," cried Orlon. "It was a happy minute for us all when you were born."

Sometimes we all may forget that not just anyone can direct a film, let alone a series, let alone a series like this. PJ has done something superhuman with his guardianship of these books and the films and we need to remember if he does something we may not be thrilled with, it's not like he's trying to upset the fans, that is the last thing he would want. He is simply an artist doing his best to give us a timeless series of adventures to relive and enjoy for years to come.

No matter the outcome, for that I am truly grateful…. I'm grateful for everyone's hard work, and turning these stories in to films. We might not all like them, but they've done their best. And I am grateful.

I'm so thankful to Peter Jackson for taking us to Middle Earth, first with LOTR and now again with The Hobbit. He may not get everything right, but he has done a pretty damn amazing job with material that could so easily have been done so very wrong.

Even if The Hobbit isn't great, the amount of love and hard work put into a film series is astounding. Some films come off as feeling made, just to be made, and to earn a quick dollar. This is certainly not the case. These are films made by genuine fans, for genuine fans. Amazing work. Thanks for contributing to my childhood at the cinema!
