Wow.... What battle was that before the shot of Thorin? Looked like dwarves of goblins.

they didn't use these TV spots earlier and post them online in via the official Warner Bros. channels on youtube. They are much more 'epic' and I think would generate a lot more interest than the ones that have been released. Only thing I can think of is that the shots weren't finished

Almost certain that shot of Thorin is before the East Moria gate. Are those set fires, or Demon Flames erupting from the gate? Or do the secret doors of Erebor have the same shape as the East gate of Moria? http://youtu.be/-jMLCi_ujPk "Hear me, hounds of Sauron, Gandalf is here! Otherwise the big victory followed by the continuation of dwarven exile will look strange to the uninformed moviegoer

I am watching TNT right now and just saw the wing of Smaug over Erebor. Beyond that some AMAZING shots of battles, Thorin, eagles. I'd say it was about 50% new footage. Really incredible stuff. Sorry, I had no way to record it.

Having seen the Smaug spot on TV, I can say with 99.9% certainty that it was RADAGAST walking up to Dol Guildur at the end. Just in case anyone wants to know.

are really making me second guess my resolve to see this first in regular 2D. I can just tell that this will probably be jaw-droppingly awesome in 48fps 3D. I mean - just look at that swooping Goblin-town shot! Wow, just wow. I'm getting those familiar chills down my spine...
