Did you watch the weatherman's "transformation" video? I don't know how his pronunciation was, but he sounded great, no matter! Love the guy!

It's so beautiful too! I loved this comment: Let's find an uninhabited island, found a Constitutional Republic, and proclaim Sindarin as the official language. Yes, let's!!

I've tried to decipher and transcribe it. I've managed two first sentences: http://www.elendilion.pl/...orecast-in-sindarin/ Calan vaer Ennor ‘Good morning Middle-earth’ Si abgen edregol an in laer ovol ‘Here is a special forecast for the summer ahead’. The word ovol is strange. I cannot analyze it. Maybe I am erroneous? P.S. Sorry for my English :-)

He looked a lot like the NZ Airline steward, to me...and he did seem to really relish the role. Great find, thanks!

His Sindarin is really very good. I think the text was translated by David Salo from the LotR and H films. I have tried to reconstuct the whole text and this is the result (it still has obscure places): http://www.elendilion.pl/...orecast-in-sindarin/
Calan vaen Ennor "Good morning Middle-earth" Si abgen edregol an in laer ovol "Here is a special forecast for the summer ahead". Lin naur ui urui di Obel-i-Pheriain a menil luin "In Hobbiton it will be mostly hot with blue sky" i ast aer a firad i Drann "the ideal time to visit the Shire" Fiar bain in dir "The lands are looking good" ah ast vaer am randirath "And it's a great time for travellers" O Girithron na Ninui "From December to February" natha ovras a chared a chened "there will be plenty to do and see" No alued i laer lin "Have a fantastic summer!"

I was reading this thinking... hey, this is a good translation. It reminds me of... wait a minute... then I took a look at your user name and profile! :-) Welcome to TORn. It's good to see you still providing Elvish translations on the web. Thanks for the translation. (Have you taken a stab at any music lyrics yet? I'm not doing any of that for The Hobbit, you know.)

Ai, Mellyn! Dear Magpie, nice to meet you again. :-) I am waiting for the lyrics of "The Hobbit" sountrack and yes, I am going to analyze it with care. It all will be published at G-i-P in it's new place: http://www.elendilion.pl/category/gwaith/ All what I have found so far is summarized here: http://www.elendilion.pl/...ary-to-be-continued/ Why aren't you going to do any lyrics analysis for "The Hobbit"? It would be great if you did :-) Let us find each other on Facebook :-) Ryszard Viajante Derdzinski Galadhorn Haerandir Elvellon ;-)

Magpie, I understand. I will try to do my best to find the explanation for the lyrics in "The Hobbit" (so far I could hear there some Sindarin, Dwarvish and Adunaic). And the reconstruction of the Sindarin forecast from the NZ's tv is almost complete (with the glossary). You'll find it here: G-i-P Report: Abgen edregol an'ni laer di Ennor Calan vain Ennor! Sí abgen edregol an'ni laer 'ovol. Lim naur ui urui di 'Obel-i-Pheriain a menel luin. I ast vaer a thirad i Drann. Thiar bain i ndýr ah ast vaer am randirath. O Girithron na Nínui natha ovras a chared a chened. No alwed i laer lîn!
