I've missed this shots - great find! The Frodo scene also seems to have subtitles: "The Shire... 60 years later" (?)

good catch, both of you on the Frodo bit. Where does the first scene of the first trailer with bilbo sending Frodo down the hill occur? I would have thought that would have come prior to reading the book.

And Frodo is definitaly holding a book when he runs down the hill from bag end. Which perhaps indicates we will see Bilbo return inside and something will occur which will lead to a prologue and then the "60 years later" thing will happen and we begin the "I may not have told you all of it" section. Thoughts?

Bilbo killing a Warg Hunter (supposedly after Thorin's fake death) I already posted that in another thread, but nobody reacted to that shocking revelation.

I haven't looked at the shot you guys are referring to yet, but if you remember from the FOTR theatrical cut, the first shot after the prologue is Frodo sitting at the tree with the text "The Shire ... 60 years later". Is it shot a shot from Fellowship?

Elsewhere, SA has posted that he's spotted what looks to be a bear paw hanging in the foreground in the very opening seconds of the V-log, in front of Radagast and the bird. He goes on to speculate that Radagast has happened upon a bear (Beorning?) that has been killed, and hung, by a "dark power in Mirkwood." This could well be Bolg, whom we have already seen with a bear-pelt on his back, complete with claws, around the shoulders.

http://thorinoakenshield.net/...-v-log-9-screencaps/ Top left foreground...although it's not in focus, it definitely looks like more like fur than foliage: it's solidly shaped, and is brownish rather than green.
